This course will teach the skills and knowledge necessary to "tell" effective
visual stories. Areas include design principles, typography, photography,
logos, layout design, etc. We will learn how to use several grap
hic design
software packages, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, from exercises and
assignment required for the course. Try to get used to the technologies as
quickly as possible so you can move on to the core course

Computer Animation

multimedia projects. Emphasis will be placed on how to create original

With the introduction and discussion of the theories and principles of
multimedia learning, students are expec

this course introduces effective instructional strategies in online learning
environments. In addition, the design of online learning acti

of the operation systems, Adobe Flash is the most popular computer
applicat
ion among those tools for developing online multimedia. Therefore,
the major goal of this course is to help students construct the competencies
of designing interactive online multimedia. In order to achieve interactivity,
this course will emphasize on bui
lding students’ programming skills,
especially the ActionScript programming skills.

model in computer, 3D Max is chosen as a main software to draw 3D model
and animation. Although fundamentals of 3D design are an introduction of
this course, students have to build their advanced ability in shape, space and
animation of 2D in order to

study the operative relationship between 2D and
3D model. There is one assignment per week for students to explore the
reaches of their potential in 3D design.
