Forest Supervisors


1.
Acting Forest Supervisor

The designated Acting Forest Supervisor shall function only during those periods when the
Forest Supervisor and Deputy are absent from headquarters and shall function in accordanc
e
with FSM 1230 as supplemented by the Regional Forester and the Coconino National Forest.


In the absence of both the Forest Supervisor and Deputy Forest Supervisor, the designation of
Acting Forest Supervisor shall be the first person on the following sc
hedule (
except

for grants
and agreements; in this case, the Administrative Officer is Acting Forest Supervisor). The Forest
Supervisor or Deputy shall in advance inform the Staff person when they shall be serving as the
Acting.


Should the Acting have to

be absent from the office, they shall, in advance, arrange with the next
Staff person to assume the Acting responsibility. They shall fully brief the new Acting Staff
prior to leaving.


The designated Acting Forest Supervisor is responsible for schedul
ing the monthly Supervisor’s
Office safety meeting.
