Mobile Application Development Contest

Sample
Problem Statement

#1

Here at USAA, we have strong ties to our country’s military. Our core mission is to
facilitate the financial
security of its members, associates,
and their families through provision of a full range of highly
competitive financial products and services; in so doing, USAA seeks to be the provider of choice for the
military community. Part of our commitment is to know our members better. This includ
es
understanding the different branches of the military, and understanding the unique challenges that each
military member faces, whether the
y are a new recruit, a seasoned officer, or retired from duty.

Your challenge is to incorporate basic military info
rmation into
a mobile application, using the JSON
-
formatted data that accompanies this document. This data includes the names, ranks, and images for
each branch of the military.

The purpose of this sample problem is to become familiar with JSON structure
and how to parse and
display different pieces of information.
