Performance analysis of
concurrency control protocols over wireless

networks:
Studied the
performance of various
concurrency

protocols

such as
2PL and

OCC

for mixtures of mobile and fixed
transactions

to aid the
performance evaluation study. The performance analysis was conducted with the aid of realistic mob

Transaction model for LBS for wireless environments
:
Studied the
different parameters affecting
transactions conduction for LBS and propose a hierarchal modeling

for location dependent data with a
suitable transaction model. Concurrency

protocol approach for this transaction is also introduced
. The
approach considers the impact of various network architectures including covering
both the location
dependent and independent.
It was shown that the architecture has a substantial impact on th
e
querying

mechanism.



Measurement and modeling of
conflict probability in broadcasting environment
:
The work
focuses on measuring and modeling the
probability of conflict of transactions being executed in mobile
broadcasting environment. A probabilistic b

model was developed to estimate the
conflict between
transactions under the OCC protocol.

Analysis of mobile transaction models in mixtures environment:

ropose an execution
framework for mobile transaction
models

and analyze the impact on mobility of mobile transaction
processing under different execution strategies. We develop a model representing mixed transactions
systems which captures both fixed and m
obile characteristics of transactions. The model provides a
basis for the performance study of general concurrency control approaches in such mixed
environments
.
