JOB DESCRIPTION


The Test Automation Engineer will be working in the Quality Assurance department leading the effort to
automate the testing of Avte
c's Scout suite of console products.
This position will partner with other
Quality Assurance personnel and the Engineering team to automate existing tests.

This

position involves
the following duties:



Extend the test automation framework.



Develop the test
automation scripts using the Agile Development method.



Install and configure
test
systems
.



E
xecute automated tests, and validate the results.



Clearly document problems found during testing.



Document test results and communicate to management.



Store scripts

under source code control.



Major focus on LabView and test automation hardware experience initially with a move toward
SW focus over time.


REQUIRE
MENTS




Ability to have a customer focus and view the product from the big picture/customer experience.



S
elf
-
motivated with the ability to work well both in groups and independently.



Experience with National Instrument’s LabView tool.



Experience with Bug Tracking tools.



Experience on Windows platforms.



Knowledge of programming, programming errors.



Willingness to

tackle technical challenges with a fair amount of self
-
direction including SW
programming and hardware set
-
up.



Excellent written & verbal communication skills.



Attention to details & strong analytical and engineering skills.

Experience in phone and radio communications.



Knowledge of networks.



Knowledge of Agile development processes.

EDUCATION/TRAINING


Bachelor
’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

or educational/experience equivalent.


E
XPERIENCE



Minimum of ten (10) years experience including test automation system architecture design and
implementation

and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
