Biography
Yanqing Tian received his BS and MS degrees from the Department of Organic Chemistry, Jilin
University (China) in 1989 and 1992. In 1995,
Dr. Tian
received his PhD degree in polymer chemistry
and physics from Jilin University. He had been a member of the Chemistry faculty at Jilin University
from 1992
to
1998. Since 1998, he had been working at
Sagami Chemical Research Center
, Tokyo
Metropolitan Uni
versity, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo University of Science, and University of
Washington. He is now working at the Center for Biosignatures Discovery Automation, Biodesign
Institute at Arizona State University as a
member of
research faculty. His
research interests include the
synthesis and application of functional materials
like
liquid crystals, nonlinear optical materials, light
-
emitting materials
,
and
two
-
photon absorbing materials. Currently, he is working on fluorescent sensors
and block copo
lymers for biosensing, bioimaging
,
and drug delivery.
Dr. Tian has been co
-
authored for
more than
100 peer reviewed papers.
