Connecting Remotely to the
CMHC
Network
Using
a
Rogers Internet Stick

on a Corporate
Laptop


Rogers Internet stick is a device for connecting a
remote

user to
the
CMHC VPN network only. All other access is blocked.


Pre
-
requisites


Cisco AnyConnect

SSL VPN and Network Access Manager software must be first be installed correctly (this software is
included in the default configuration of CMHC Toshiba laptops).

(Installation instructions for Cisco AnyConnect on Lenovo laptops will be documented soon)


In order to use t
he
Rogers wireless Internet, the corresponding software
driver
s must first be installed correctly.

instead.

Click on the “Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobil…” button

Select “ROGERS” from the Network pull down menu and wait for the status to change to “Connected” (displayed
in the example below as “Connected (10.209.73.3)”). The Cisco VPN connection process should initiate automatically

(click Connect if it does not).

Read the terms and click “Accept” to complete the VPN connection process

You will be brought back to the Windows login scr
een. Confirm that there is a “Disconnect” button now present
between the network connection and power buttons located at the bottom right of the screen. This “Disconnect”
button confirms that you are successfully connected to the CMHC network. Click on you
r username or on “Other User”
to start the Windows login procedure.

Enter your Windows password to complete the login procedure.

network drives, mail and Internet.
