ABOUT THE
DEPARTMENT
:



The department of
ECE was started in the year 2009

with an intake of 60 students. The
intake was inc
reased to 120 students from 2011
. The department has established eight
laboratories namely Analog Communication laboratory, Pulse & Digital
Circuits laboratory,
Integrated Circuits & Applications laboratory, Electronic Circuit Analysis laboratory,
Microprocessor & Micro controller laboratory, Electronic Computer Aided design laboratory,
Digital communications laboratory and Microwave & Optical

communications laboratory, which
are fully equipped with test & measuring equipment and trainers specially designed for lab work.
With
a
strength of 60 students for each class, a total of 6 classrooms are provided in the
department.

Lesson
plans will be made available in the collage Web before beginning of each semester for all
courses.

furnished staff rooms are

provided in sufficient number

STUDENTS:


Course files and handouts are given to the students to give them overall idea about the
course they are going to study. An exclusive counseling class is included in the time table in
which each faculty is allotted with
10 students. Students are counseled in these classes and
problems pertaining to their academic/personal
have been solved.

fee.

Theme of the association:

The main theme of association is to make the students aware of the latest trends
and
technologies in the ECE field (which is a very broad area) by conducting guest lectures, paper
presentation contents, seminars, extempore etc. Attention is also paid towards the improvement
of their communication skills by conducting debates, general t
alks and improvement of self
-
management skills by conducting various personality development programs, so that the student
may gain confidence and be bold enough to face the real world, which is full of challenges after
he leaves the campus. As the student
s maintain the association itself will be a best opportunity
for them to learn how to manage things, which will be very useful for them to manage their own
things and to build up rapport between their fellow students.

PULSE 10KC

PULSE 10KC was organized by the association of ECE on 04
-
04
-
2012 internally .This
Event is mainly focused to encourage the students in different activities like Paper Presentation,
Technical Quiz, Poster Presentation Group Discussion and c
ultural activities. The motto of
association is to develop the presentation skills, team building skills and self motivation skills in
the students. To organize this event the association collects funds from the students. This
association also distributes
the prizes to winners

and participation certificates to all the
participants
.

INFRASTRUCTURE:

) LAB
:


This lab is equipped with advanced versions of basic electronic measuring instruments.
Electronic Devices and Circuits Lab is equipped to meet or exceed the standards set by JNTU
H

AICTE.

ANALOG COMMUNICATION (AC) LAB:




The laboratory is well equipped with different modulation and demodulation kits such as
AM, FM, DSB
-
SC, SSB
-
SC, and TDM etc. Also the above experiments have been simulated
using “MATLAB Version 7.6”.

INTEGRATED CIRCUITS AND APPLICATIONS (ICA) LAB
:



The laboratory consists of about 50 experimental trainer kits on linear and digital IC
Applications. Apart from this, the lab has an IC tester, Bread Board trainer kits, 20MHz CRO's
and Function Generators. The lab caters to the needs of all b
ranches of the institution




PULSE DIGITAL CIRCUITS (PDC) LAB:




The Laboratory is well equipped with sufficient number of Function & signal Generators,
CRO's, Regulated power supplies, bread boards, digital MultiMate’s and Decade resistance,
capac
itance and Inductance boxes etc,
for the students to conduct experiments based on topics
like Multivibrators, Schmitt trigger, logic gates, Flip
-
Flops, Linear & Non linear wave shaping,
sweep circuits, combinational circuits, and relaxation oscillator.

The Lab is also equipped with
different kits to study and analyze the experiments on above topics.

MICROPROCESSOR & MICRO CONTROLLER (MP&MC) LAB:



The laboratory has been established to satisfy the needs in the area of microprocessors &
Micro
controllers focusing on

embedded systems. The Lab has 1

MICRO WAVE & OPTICAL COMMUNICA
TION (MW&OC) LAB:



This laboratory is well equipped with 10 Reflex Klystron test benches, 4 Gunn Oscillators
test benches with different kinds of loads. It also consists of 8 VSWR meters, 6 CROs, 7 fiber
optic trainer kits for determining the chara
cteristics of LED, LASER and photo detector.

DIGITAL COMMUNICATION (DC) LAB:




The lab has a number of digital communication trainer kits such as ASK,
FSK, PSK, PCM
and DPCM etc. The la

ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT ANALYSIS (ECA) LAB:



In this laboratory, the students are trained to design various electronic circuits like power
amplifiers, tuned amplifiers, regulators, oscillators, feedback amplifiers using Multisim software
and hardware trainer kits. The lab has

soft
ware for conducting software
experiments and hardware trainer kits, CRO’s, DC power supplies, Function Generators,
Multimeters for conducting hardware experime
nts. The lab is equipped with 20

number of
computer systems with online UPS which are networked.

ECAD AND VLSI LAB:




ECAD & VLSI lab

is established in the year 2012

and is equipped with sufficient number
of systems with online UPS and networking. The lab is set up according to the standards set by
JNTU. The lab has sufficient soft ware such as A
ctive HDL (20 user keys) ,Xilinx Universal
trainer unit, FPGA module, simplify pro, synthesis tool (2user key),VLSI design suit consisting
of universal base unit, XILINX CPLD module .Recently, The ECAD & VLSI lab is updated with
the new software and Hardwa
re i.e XILINX system Edition(perpetual) 25 users, Spartan 6E
board with cable (7boards) .



DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING LAB:



This laboratory is equipped with Texas manufactured DSP starter kits with the core processor
being TMS320C6713. This lab exposes the aspects of Digital Signal Processing. Many of the
algorithms and filter designing related to DSP are implemented in MATLAB
Version 7.6
software, Code Composer Studio ( Full Version) and using TMS320C6713 DSP processor

BASIC SIMULATION LAB:



BS Lab has been established in the year 2010 caters the need of II year UG students. This lab
has sufficient number of systems wi
th networking to implement the basic concepts in the area of
signal and systems using MATLAB Version 7.6 software.
