1.
Meetings on Fridays

The project manager proposed that we should have weekly meeting on Friday afternoons.
There were some
re
servations

of
the
members on the timings of the
Friday
meeting
s
.
However, it was decided that
we shall
held meetings at 15.00 on each Friday.

Conclusion:

A Skyp
e

meeting shall be held on each Friday at 15.00.

2.

UML Tool

Luka informed the members that
he is working on Omondo and
how
it
saves
d
iagrams, and how to make a
complete
O
mondo project from scratch
.

He said,
it has some protection that a diagr
am made in one
installation of O
mondo can

not

be opened in another one, and
was
looking how to av
oid
that
.
He further said
that he has not
found any tool that can import or export and that has all the

UML functionality we need
.

Igor informed that he worked on StarUML and concluded that it doe
s not satisfy our requirements as many
errors pops up.

Ivan was o
f view that XMI
versions after 1.3 support diagram presentation
information and

model
information

so perhaps we should take into consideration tools with support of new
XMI
versions
.

Mucalo

being more specific and focused
said that o
ur ideal tool has to h
ave

following characteristics
:

C
omplete UML Component diagram functionality

2

I
mport/export to XML or XMI

I
mport/expo
r
t the graphical design

F
ull support for profiles

The project manager was of view that i
mport/export may not be explicit. SAVE
-
IDE for ins
tance saves in
XMI internally.
He said that

most eclipse modeling tools do this as well.

Luka agreed with the project
manager and said that
this is
what both
O
mondo and
N
etBeans do, but it's not easy as import because
you
need to create all other files
tha
t
project needs.

Mucalo

was of view that if
we

are

going to use
NetBeans, then somebody has to study the structure of the
files NetBeans saves, so we can know what parts to edit in order to get the graphical representation
.
Luck
said
we need to find out i
f
it is required
to create a whole project, or we can just insert a diagram into
project, but for that, we need to understand how a tool sav
es and uses the project files.

Regard
ing

UML too
l
, Ivan was of view that
we should agree that someone is assigned w
ith
investigating

in
detail
as soon as possible on how the tool saves information
into files and document
it
in

details. He further
said this could be done with
2
-
3 tools that are most acceptable

to us and
the same thing for
Save
-
IDE
.
He
continued that
O
mo
ndo must be taken
conditionally

until use
-
rights are resolved
.

Luk
a

volunteered

to work
on O
mondo
.
Alex suggested
Mikael
to
study the way NetBeans save files
. After
their investigations, we shall check out those tools, compare them and make a decision on

Sunday.

In the last minutes of the meeting, the members discussed some issues on week report.

The meeting ends with vote of thanks.

Conclusion
:

1.

At last we came with NetBeans and Omondo to be used as
UML
tool. It was decided that both the
tools shall

be investigated by Sunday
and one tool will be
chosen

2.

Luka will investigate Omondo and Mikael will investigate NetBeans

3.

Dennis will get
familiar

with Save
-
IDE and how diagram are stored in XMI using Save
-
IDE.
