This is a brief guide to a selection of sources of the high quality information
you will need for your academic studies at the University of Southampton.
Section One. This lists resources which are freely available. You will be
able to access these befor
e you arrive here and have registered for your
course

so you can begin researching your subject while still at home.
Section Two. This lists some of the resources in your subject area which
the University subscribes to. You will not be able to access th
ese until
you have registered and been given a University password but once you
have done that they will be available to you throughout your studies.
Most can be accessed from off campus but a few are restricted to ‘on
-
campus’ use only.
