Introduction

Rokonet IP
-
Receiver is emula
tion utilities, enabling the Monitoring Company to extend their
alarm
systems communication infrastructure while protecting their investment in the monitoring device. The IP
-
Receiver emulates the PSTN line when interfacing the existing Monitoring Station,
while receiving the
alarms, events, etc from the alarms system via TCP/IP network or cellular network (GSM). The
IP
-
Receiver can work in conjunctions with Rokonet ACM (Advanced Communication Module) or with any
other TCP/IP or GSM communication device.

U
sing the TCP/IP communication
protocol

enables

the IP
-
Receiver to open simultaneously multiple
connections over the existing IP interface. Moreover the IP
-
Receiver may receive a message in one
formant and forward it to the monitoring station in different o
ne.

Rokonet
highly recommend installing the SQL database locally,

on the same Server/Work station

running the
application. However, if you are
using external SQL server, an

database, please consult with our technical support.

To install the MS SQL database on your work station, run the file
setup.exe

from the folder
\
