4 lessons each. Quizzes will be administered the last day of
every school week, given that a test has not been scheduled for that same day.
If you are
absent

on the day the quiz is administered and it is an excused absence, the make

up quiz will
be afterschool on the same day you return
. If the quiz is not made up on that day you will
receive an automatic ‘0%’.


Tests:
A test will be administered once
every
two weeks. The date

for each of these exams will
be given a week in advance throughout the course.

If you are absent on the day the test is
administered and it is an excused absence, the make

Laboratory Experiments/
Special Projects:
There is a
$10 Laboratory fee

associated with this
course.
The

Biology Laboratory
Manual

outlines 26 laboratory experiments that will completed
throughout the course of the school year. Students will be given the date of each lab class in
advance and will be expected to show up to class prepared for the experiment.

Laboratory
manuals are to be completed in
PENCIL ONLY.

Homework:

Daily homework will be assigned throughout the course of the year. Homework is
expected to be turned in on the date it is due. If the homework assi
gnment is not turned in on
time, the student will receive a ‘0%’ as their grade for that assignment.

Friday Folders:

Each student will bring his/her Friday Folder home every Friday. This folder
includes all of the work completed throughout that past week. Please have your
parent/guardian go through this packet with you and have them sign the Engrade slip. Keep the
schoo
lwork, but please return the folder and the slip every Monday.


Textbooks:

Please inspect your books as soon as they are given to you and report anything of
concern immediately. It is the student's responsibility to return textbooks in good condition at
the end of the school year. Students are responsible for taking care of thei
r textbooks at home
and at school. Please make sure to have your textbook covered at all times. Students will be
billed for any damages to textbooks.
A $60

fine will be assessed and charged to the student for
textbooks not returned and/or damages caused by
: willful destruction/abuse, moisture,
food/drink, etc.

The fee for replacing a Laboratory Manual is $30.
