Deployment of New *.WAR File
1. Open your web browser (i.e Mozilla firefox).
2. Type http://localhost:8080
in the address bar your tomcat (Fig. 1) and hit/press Enter

and the main page of Apache Tomcat will appear.

3. Click the “Tomcat Manager” link (Fig. 2) and the “Authentication Required” dialog box
will pop up. Put the “User Name” and “Password” you have originally assigned (Fig. 3)
to log on the “Tomcat Web Application Manager” (Fig. 4).

4. Click “Undeploy” (Fig. 5). A confirmation dialog box will pop up before proceeding in
undeploying the application of “LguSreReportGenerator”. To answer the question “Are
you sure?”, just select “OK” (Fig. 6). You will notice that the “LguSreReportGenerator”
will disappear, it means that you have successfully removed the application and notice
also the message below the “Tomcat Web Application Manager” (Fig. 7).

5. Next, will be manual deletion of the folder. First open the Tomcat icon. Go to “Start ”
menu ‐‐>“All Programs” ‐‐> “Apache Tomcat 6.0” ‐‐> select “Monitor Tomcat”. Then you
will notice the tomcat icon on your taskbar (Fig. 8).

6. Stop the service of tomcat. Right click the tomcat icon on your taskbar and select the
“Stop Service” (Fig. 9). Wait until the icon becomes red (Fig. 10).

7. Then go to “C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps” and
delete the folder “LguSreReportGenerator” and close the window.
8. After deleting the “LguSreReportGenerator” folder. Start the service of tomcat. Right
click the tomcat icon on your taskbar and select the “Start Service” (Fig. 11) wait until
the icon turn into green (Fig. 12).

9. Open your Mozilla firefox browser again and type http://localhost:8080
in the address
bar your tomcat and hit/press enter (

and the main page of Apache Tomcat will
appear. See (Fig 13).

10. Click the “Tomcat Manager” link (Fig. 14). Then the “Authentication Required” will pop
up. Put the “User Name” and “Password” you assign (Fig.15). Then you will be log on
the “Tomcat Web Application Manager” (Fig. 16).

11. Scroll down at the lower portion of the screen, until you see the “WAR file to deploy”
(Fig. 17).

12. Click the “Browse” button and locate the updated WAR file (Fig. 18). Then click the
“Deploy” botton to attach the application as shown in Fig 19.
