a system that returns to the original
state after a disturbance.

Unstable Equilibrium:

the same equilibrium but forms a new equilibrium.

Living systems maintain homeostasis

Homeostasis:
the idea of a stable internal body condition

Negative feedback:
reactions that tend to go back to their
original state. Ex. Wolves and bunnies

Positive
feedback:

reactions that do not ever return to their
original state. Ex. Forest fire
