Kelly Schlamb has been a part of the DB2 for LUW team in the IBM Toronto Lab for 17 years, spending the majority of
his career in the DB2 Kernel development group.

Kelly was a long tim
e member of the Buffer Pool Services & Storage
Management team, working on various new features and capabilities in this area.

This included leading the team that
introduced Automatic Storage and adding various enhancements to it in the DB2 releases that
followed.

Subsequently,
Kelly was the technical lead and manager of the DB2 pureScale Recovery development team for over five years.

This team
was responsible for designing and implementing logging, backup/restore, crash recovery, roll forward, and trans
action
management in the DB2 pureScale environment.

In 2011, Kelly moved out of his development role into the Worldwide
Information Management Technical Sales organization as a DB2 pureScale specialist.

In this new role he is responsible for
educating an
d assisting both IBMers and customers alike, helping them be successful with DB2 pureScale.
