Installing Jboss 4.0.4 With EJB Support


NOTE: Make sure JDK 1.5 is already installed on the system before proceeding
with this install.


1.

Copy file
jboss
-
4.0.4.GA
-
Patch1
-
installer.jar

from the provided
software CD to the hard disk, to a temp directory (e.g
.
C:
\
temp
).

2.

Open a command prompt window. In the command prompt window,
cd

to the
directory that you copied the file to. (e.g.
cd C:
\
temp
)

3.

Enter the following command:


java

jar jboss
-
4.0.4.GA
-
Patch1
-
installer.jar

The installer should launch automatica
lly


5.

Click
Ok

6.

On the welcome screen, click
Next
.


7.

On the Release Notes screen, click
Next


8.

On the license agreement screen, select
I accept the terms of this license
agreement

and click
Next


9.

At the installation path screen, change the path to
C:
\
jbos
s
-
4.0.4.GA
and click
Next


10.

A dialog box will pop up confirming the target directory. Click
Ok
.


11.

On the next screen select
ejb3

and click
Next


12.

The next screen will ask what packs you want to install. Just click
Next


13.

The next screen will ask you to spe
cify the

Configuration Name. Leave it as
default

and click
Next


14.

On the Isolation and Call By Value Semantics screen, just click
Next
.

15.

On the JMX Security screen, just click
Next


16.

The next screen will present a summary of what will be installed. Click
Next

to
begin installing


17.

When the install is done, click
Next

18.

Click
Done




19.

Close the command prompt window.
