Minimum requirements




A

Masters Degree in electrical engineering
or
relevant
equivalent

qualification.



Indication of interest in research
and academic publications and willingness to
further qualifications to doctorate level.



Three year teaching research and industrial experience in any of the following
areas of electrical engineering: 1) Electrical machines, 2) Control systems, 3)
Signal pr
ocessing.



Experience with regards to management of academic matters, quality of
program, student affairs, human resources, facilities, finances, research projects.



Supervisory experience in industry and/or academic fields.



Experience of research and monito
ring of post graduate students is
recommended.



Core functions


The successful
applicant

will be responsible for the following:




Presenting lectures and assessing students in the following electrical engineering
subjects: 1) Electrical machines, 2)
Control systems, 3) Signal processing.



Responsible for academic
research and technological excellence.



Actively carrying out research and contributing to the research outputs of the
department.



Responsible for administrative tasks related to teaching and l
earning.



Participating in community service projects
.



Industry liaison and involvement in the development of new curriculum
.



Involvement in the supervision of post graduate students.
