I  am  in  the  process  of  trying  to  get  4  pages  to  work  with  alternate  themes.
The  pages  are
1.
home,
2.
newsletter,
3.
about  us,  and
4.
membership.
A.
The  membership  page  was  created  without  the  use  of  the  default  Joomla!  editor  so  that  the  PayPal  code  looks  like  it  is
working.  The  editor  was  stripping  some  of  the  functionality.
registration  form  seems  ok  now
When  editor  on  it  will  put  <p>  tags  around  whole  content,  masking  JavaScript

need  to  turn  editor  off  or  strip  off

SimpleCaddy
or  other  shopping  cart  with  embedded  PayPal  best

I  used  the  clone  tool  in  my  graphics  editor  to  paint  over  the  Joomla!  logo  in  the  Beez20(?)  theme  header.  If  you  look  closely
you  can  tell.  I  don't  know  how  to  modify  the  Joomla!  theme  to  make  it  look  more  like  the  current  website.
Per  email  sent  last  Friday,  replace  the  image  in  the
cpanel  templates>templatename>banner  image
of  the  same  name  and
set  the  CSS  to  the  correct  new  height  if  differs

-‐
make  the  height  and  width  of  your  new  image  match  the  original
banner  image,  sono    CSS  style  changes  are  needed
C.
I've  attached  a  list  of  requirements  that  I've  collected  since  last  November.  They  have  not  been  prioritized.

The  overriding  goal  is  to  have  a  website  where  users  can  modify  and  add  content  without  knowing  CSS,  HTML  or  JavaScript.
Although  cobbling  together  the  right  templates  and  extensions  can  be  a  pain,  after  it's  all  setup,  Joomla  can  be  run  to  a
great  extent  by  the  users,  if  correctly  instructed  and  support  remains

I've  committed  to  writing  instructions  for  editing,  modifying  menus,  etc.

the  custom  settings  will  override  the  default  until  they  are  all  turned  off  in  the  alternative  template)
