TDSi partners with Texecom to deliver true IP integration with software
security systems

TDSi’s EXgarde
PRO software

now offers true IP integration in conjunction with
Texecom’s Premier range of Intruder Alarm panels.

TDSi
, a global leader in access control systems for all sizes of businesses and
organisations has launched a module for true TCP/IP integration from its EXgarde
PRO software suite to alarm specialist Texecom’s Premier r
ange of Intruder Alarm
panels. The solution
comprehensively connects

Texecom’s Premier range of panels
to other serial based devices such as IP CCTV, TDSi’s VUgarde NVR providing
visual verification of Intruder Alarms through TDSi’s EXgarde PRO.

The Texecom Integration
module
for EXgarde PRO is being launched at IFSEC 2012
and will be

available for demonstration on TDSi’s
stand
,

4G20. The module
has

already

garnered
considerable
interest, having

been
shortlisted
in

the IFSEC
International Security

Industry Awards 2012 in the Integrated Security Product of the
Year category.

John Davies, Managing Director of TDSi, comments “This integration with Texecom
has enabled TDSi to
enhance

EXgarde PRO into a more complete and
joined
-
up

surveillance and security system at the TCP/IP level. The user has full control, being
able to arm and disarm zones to suit the use of the building, reducing the number of
false alarms triggered, and providing visual verification of alarms.”

The solutio
n
provides enhanced control and offers numerous benefits, such as the
ability to activate and deactivate specific panels across multiple sites, as well as
individual zones of a building and the ability to monitor all Intruder Alarm events
which appear in t
he EXgarde P
RO

Alarm Manager Events panel. If an alarm is
activated, CCTV can be t
riggered to deliver both a real
-
time image and a 15 second
pre alarm condition recording to the control room. The integration also means users
benefit from a single point
of administration with the ability to monitor a log of the
intruder alarm system and also reduce the numbers of false alarm
s

and the problems
associated with this.

This add
-
on to EXgarde

PRO

continues TDSi’s commitment to making
total
systems
integration
easier. The other key features of the system include the ability to log
events
and

view the alarm zones’ status “armed”/”part
-
armed”/”disarmed” in EXgarde

PRO
, remote arm/disarm from
A
ccess
E
vents and part
-
arm zones from
A
ccess
E
vents. These flexible fea
tures allow users to avoid costly false
positives

through
arming only required zones of a building, also preventing unauthorised people from
accessing certain zones.
