TASK

You are required to write a
n essay on various bus standards
and produce a

software program which produces various
communication waveforms

using different methods for
waveform synthesis.

Part A

Explain in detail with the aid of diagrams the following
interface standards common with Computer systems

IEEE 488 Bus system

CANBUS

c)

P4

front side bus interface

d)

i7 core front side Bus

e)

Comparison and application of digital/real time/CPU interfaces
as above

Part B

Write two 68hc11 assembly language programs which enables
the lookup and calculation of an AM modulated waveform
(fasted possib
le). The 68Hc11 does not have a maths
coprocessor so you should investigate the use of power series
in mathematics.


Your submission should simply be a word doc containing the
full software development including comments and be
editable (No screen dumps).
You are not required to use the
hardware within the labs to test the software, but should give
an indication how you would test the software.
