Abstract

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology healthcare adoption is a multi
-
criterion
decision problem which includes both qualitative and quantitative factors. And it is an evaluation
process that is based on many criteria that uses inaccurate or unce
rtain data. But while the criteria
are often numerous and the relationships between higher
-
level criteria and lower
-
level sub
-
criteria
are complex, most conventional decision models cannot help us clarify the interrelationships among
the sub
-
criteria. In t
his study we attempt to demonstrate the extent to which a range of
infrastructural drivers and to identify and discuss some of the important and critical decision criteria
including evaluated factors can influence such outcomes in the specific context of R
FID technology
adoption in healthcare industry. The propose of this approach is expected to allow mangers or
planners to understand current RFID technological trends and advances by identifying factors that
have an impact on the adoption status. The approa
ch based on the multiple criteria decision making
(MCDM) model which combined with
Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory
(DEMATEL) technique

to identification of core factors in the decision of RFID adoption. These
findings have important implica
tions for the developing RFID applications in healthcare
organizations.
