The Challenge
Become the go-to resource for sports injury information.
Reingold helped launch the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine’s STOP Sports Injuries
campaign to prevent overuse and trauma injuries in children. We created a state-of-the-art website—
STOPSportsInjuries.org—complete with a blog, social media integration, tip sheets, ideas for events, and
opportunities to get involved with the campaign.
Reingold created a search engine optimization (SEO) strategy to move STOPSportsInjuries.org to the top of
search engine results for the keywords and phrases that AOSSM’s target audiences search for most. First we
infused the site’s content with these terms. Next we reached out to blogs, sports camps, and high schools in a
systematic campaign to further boost the site’s search engine rankings.
Reingold Results
In just 18 months, Reingold’s SEO campaign generated more than 5,000 links from related websites to
STOPSportsInjuries.org. The site achieved top rankings in Google for the most highly searched phrases related
to youth and sports injuries—such as “baseball injuries,” “soccer injuries,” and “sports injury prevention.”
