Organize department activities (receptions for visiting lecturers, classical films, parties
for students, etc.)



Revise and add to department catalogue of video tapes in library that are relevant to
Classical • Studies



Keep all department bulletin boards up

to date



Other miscellaneous tasks (photocopying, setting up reserve shelves in the library for
departmental courses)


Academic prerequisites, skills, and experience needed:



Would prefer a Classics major with knowledge of department and courses



Must be
reliable, responsible, and able to set own schedule



Should have some knowledge of web technology (or willingness to learn)



Hours of work to be as required


Latin Tutor, III Supervisor: (Supervisor:

Tutors 1st year and intermediate Latin students


Academic prerequisites, skills, and experience needed:



Must have strong knowledge of Latin (at least one year of Advanced Latin courses)



Patience, ability to explai
n difficult concepts, and to drill students on material



Must be reliable and responsible



Must work at least 1
-
2 hours per week
