What is it?

The
CM
1312
series

network solution, does not automatically
detect a change from an
established (connected)

network

sub
-
net to a new network sub
-
net.
Because of this
issue t
he product will not autom
atically reattach to the new TCP/IP netwo
rk

and
request a new IP address from the DHCP server
.

The IP address displayed on the
network configuration page will either read the old IP address or give an error under
the status section.

Corrective action:

When

product
does

not obtain a new IP addres
s after moving from one network sub
-
net to a new network sub
-
net, the network settings will need to be restored through
the control panel set
-
up menu.

To do so, n
avigate
from the

set
-
up menu to

the

network c
on
figuration
” menu choice

and press “OK”. Use t
he arrow keys to navigate
to the “restore defaults”

and press “OK”. This will reset only the network settings to the
factory defaults.

NOTE: If the product was previously set up for use on an IPV6 network, the settings
will also be cleared.

WARNING
: Ch
anging
network
sub
-
nets will force the need for the process detailed
above. When the process has
completed

the software on the PC
(s) connected to this
product

will need to be uninstalled using the product programs menu uninstaller and
reinstalled to reesta
blish scanning and printing features.
