This document has been provided in order to provide an indication of requirements & costs associated with a
typical installation and use of the Money Market Front End (MMFE) application from Strate
.
The set up
requirements specified in this document cat
ers for both the new participants and the participants that currently have
connectivity to Strate and have an installation of the Equities Front End (SAFE) applications.

New Installation

This section

describes the setup of the MMFE environment from scra
tch. Strate will recommend that at least three
environments are created: One for production, one for QA and an extra one for Disaster Recovery.


The breakdown below includes the hardware and software required to setup a SINGLE environment.

Hardware

imum requirements for the hardware server are as follows:

Existing SAFE Installation

This section describes the MMFE setup requirements for participants that currently have a SAFE installation and
connectivity to Strate.



The MMFE applicat
ion can installed in the same environment as the SAFE application. The following will
be required to setup MMFE:

A new database

on the current DBMS

New Websphere MQ Queues

on the current Queue Manager
.

o

New Instance of the server
on the current
Application
s Server.


Connectivity to Strate

Connectivity to Strate can be archived in one of two ways:

Through the Strate WAN or through SWIFT.

The WAN connectivity requires dedicated Telkom lines
in
to Strate.
