LAN connection






Search and set the ip address of the ip camera


Run Setup in the cd, after set up the software, user can find two icons shown on the desktop.

Click on the IPCAMTOOL icon to open the
program.

1) Click “Refresh” ;

2) Choose the IPCAM;

3) Open the IPCAM; or input the IP into the browser in its address field directly to access

the login page.

4) Put the user name and password into “Authentication” (
By default, the user name is:

security issue, it is strongly

recommended to change the password in control panel.


Note:

1) If you don’t know how to fill out the content of “Net config”, you could also tick the “Set

IP automatically” to get the IP address from the r
outer automatically.

2) you copy the IPCamTool.exe from CD and install in your PC, it may pop up a window

to say “whether you want to block this program or not”, then you should choose not to

block.

3) The default http port is 80.


Visit IP Camera

Suggest to use
internet explorer or compatible browser to visit it for the first time, you will

be required to install the OCX.exe before viewing the video as Figure 9, you can find

OCX.exe in the CD, you only need to double
-
click ocx2.exe and installation

can be

finished automatically as shown below figure 10; Or,

click “Download and install OCX.exe (when first use)”. The dialog window will pop up

accordingly. You can download and save it to any folder you want. After downloading is

completed, double

click

OCX.exe and automatic installation will be implemented.

Downloading OCX.exe from the network IPCAM is widely used in case that installation CD

is not available.


After the OCX installation, click the “Video View” as Figure 7, then you will enter the video

Windows:
the window is defined as video window number shown in the video region ,the

current maximum of which are100.

Video Size:
support four kinds of video

size. That is

1280x720,640x480,320x240,160x120.

Frame rate:
Set the current video frame rate. User can change the frame rate to limit

network traffic and achieve more fluent image sequence.

LED:
User can turn on or turn off the infrared lights.

Mode:

t the video light mode, and remove the jitter impact of the image as per the

electricity frequency. The following three modes are used: 50HZ/60HZ /outdoor

model. Generally, indoor mode use 50Hz or 60Hz, outdoor mode should be set as

per the real IPCAM work
ing environment.

Vertical flip:
the video upside down.

Horizontal flip:
Reverse the video.

Mute
: Close the sound of the ip camera.

Video Panel
: select it, the video bar (shortcut function keys ) will be displayed on monitor

screen, which can take photos,
video and realize the function of voice

Sound Alarm:
If selected, when the alarm IPCAM is triggered, computer sound alarm. If

not, computer is mute.

Stretch:
stretch the image to the full window

Connection:
Connect the selected IPCAM address, and

display images in the current

Disconnect:
Disconnect the selected video connection, and stop displaying video. If

video recording is ongoing, the operation will stop simultaneously.

Snapshot

Open image folder to view the pictures.

Start/Stop the video record:
Start or stop the video record of the selected IPCAM.

modes as per actual requirements.

Network IPCAM page setup options are in the far left, when clicking the left arrow, the

hidden settings page will be expanded. Click the left arrow, set the options as follows

Port forwarding

If visit IP Camera from WAN, user
must
do port forwarding on the router. user can

do port forwarding
in
two ways: 1) Enter setting page of the router which IPCAM

connect with to enable UPnP function. Enter IPCAM”UPnP settings” to enable

UPnP and make sure the state is “UPnP success”2) establish
virtual server in the

Router
.

Enter router setting page. Fill in IPCAM’s IP and port , and active IP’s port to WAN.

The default port of IP camera is 81. User can change the port number as need. If
user

want to visit several IPCAMs which locates in one LAN, user should assign each ip

camera a unique port, such as 81,82, and so on.

Network Setting:

IP address type

tatic IP address :

To specify the IPCAM IP, it is required to manually fill in IP
address.Fill in relevant information
and click on the “Save” button. This function of

IPCAM need to restart to take effect.

Gateway settings generally use the default settings, and the IPCAM uses the

router's IP address
as the gateway.

Static IP user is no
t need to use DDNS for remote access , When finished the

setting of the IP Camera in LAN, you can access the IPCAM directly from

Internet by the WAN IP,
You can obtain the WAN IP by two ways.

Obtain the Wan IP From some Website

You can
discover this easily

by opening on a computer using the same

connection as the IP camera and
entering this address:

http://www.whatismyip.com
the page at this address will show you the

current WAN IP.


Select DHCP
: IPCAM will automatically obtain the IP, which is not fixed (t
his

feature requires the router to support DHCP protocol, and this feature

should be activated).


UPnP settings


UPnP is to realize automatic port forwarding function. If the IPCAM is

connected to a router. In
order to access to the IPCAMs through WAN, it

is required to open a specified port of the router
to the IPCAM. (This

feature requires router support, and this feature should be open.

Without this
feature, you need to manually set up port forwarding in the

router). If the UPnP enabled
successfully, th
e below figure23 will be

displayed.


Note: when you select IP address type: “DHCP”; it is better to enable UPnP on

both IPCAM
and router , which will be easy to settle down the port

forwarding)

Dynamic DNS

If the port forwarding is done successfully, and you can access the IPCAM by WAN

IP address remotely, then you can also use DDNS to access IP camera

Manufacturer’s Domain
Name

IPCAM manufacturer has
established a DDNS, and allotted a dynamic domain name to

every IPCAM, the domain name has been integrated into IPCAMs when producing. For

example, enter domain
, the browser will connect the IPCAM and

display the IP address.

Third Part Domain Name

User can also use third part DDNS, such as

must apply a free domain name from this website and fill the info into the below blank

sand save the settings. Then the domain name can be used.


Reverse connection

Usually, in
networks, IPCAM is set as server, and monitor software plays the role of

client. But in case that IP camera locates in the network which doesn’t support

server settings.
Reverse connect function can help the user set the IP camera as

client and set the mon

software as server, so that user can access the IP camera

through monitor software


Other Settings


Wireless connection

1) WPS Settings.

It is easy way for user to settle the WIFI connection between IPCAM and wireless

router.This

IPCAM support WPS function , If the wireless router of user also support WPS

function. User only need to simply press the WPS button on back of the network

IPCAM, the
WPS verification web page will displayed as figure27. It will inform user

WIFI Settings:

Please use the network cable to connect the IPCAM into Internet before doing

settings of wireless
connection.

Network IPCAM supports WEP and WPA2

encryption. As the diversity of the router, if one
encryption way is not connected on

When the wireless is connected successfully, Unplug the network cable from IPCAM.

Alarm Settings













Alarm settings are used to set the alarm function of IPCAM. When external

alarm signal

or motion detection is triggered, alarm will take effect,. If the user has set up e
-
mail

function, fill in the corresponding mailbox address to receive mail. An alarm mail will be

sent to the user.

Motion detection is for the user who want to

deploy the detected region. when
somebody

or something break into the detected region, IPCAM will sound warning signals and

send photos to the e

mail set by user.

email alarm, IPCAM will send

SMTP Settings

When alarm triggered , IPCAM will send the current alarm photos to the

: Used to set the user's mail address.

: Used to set the port of mail server , usually it is default values.

Sender:
the mail address is need to send alarm photos to receiver.

Password:
Sender’s mailbox’s password.

Receiver
: to receive alarm photos when there is alarm .

Meanwhile, user can access the video directly from SD card, or download the

The IPCAM supports max 32G SD card (FAT32 or NTFS format)

Reserved Space Size
: used to set the buffer size of SD card, generally, it is set as

otherwise, it will show the spare space of the SD card

File Explorer



File explorer is used to access the saved video files
in SD card through networks.

When clicking SD file folder, user can download any
saved video file.


Snapshot

IPCAM can take
pictures in a chosen period of time set by user and save the

pictures into SD
card. The default interval is 60 seconds.


Schedule Record


User can set the schedule record function. The RED area is the chosen date and

time.


Alarm Record

When user set the d
ate and time, IPCAM will start to record alarm video
.
