Internet Packet eXchange/Sequenced Packet

IPX/SPX
):

Two protocols that work together to transfer data between two
computers across the Internet. IPX is a protocol that sends data
packets to requested
destinations, such as workstations and servers.
SPX verifies and acknowledges successful packet delivery to any
network destination by requesting verification from the destination
that the data were received.

A User interface developed for using
a network operating system
on PCs.


Apple Talk:

A network protocol developed for Apple computers.
