This workshop focuses on the recent progress of wireless communication technologies, systems,
applications and tools in the context of Smar
t Grid. The scope of the workshop will include: (1) the
requirements of wireless communication in different segments of the smart grids, such as
throughput, latency, application access patterns, etc; (2) new progress of the architecture and
system design a
nd implementation, spectrum efficiency, low power design, security, etc; (3)
engineering practices and experience in the deployment of wireless communication in smart grid (4)
new applications & tools for wireless communications in smart grid.

op is in conjunction with the 3rd IEEE International Conference on Smart Grid
