Technology Days “Integrated Machine Vision”

Budapest, 29

30 January 2001

Background

The scope of IMV 2001 is the use of machine vision technologies in new industrial
applications. Focus is on the integration of these technologies in processes and contr
ol
systems. Furthermore, more long term research possibilities in the area of cognitive vision
systems and advanced control systems are addressed.

Objectives

IMV 2001 is targeted at organisations from the Newly Associated States to meet
representative
s from running EU
-
supported projects related to the theme of integrated
machine vision. IMV 2001 will present the latest possibilities for organisations from Newly
Associated States for participating in the Information Society Technologies Programme (IST)
of the Fifth Framework Programme of the European Commission, which includes both
Research & Development and Technology Take
-
up projects.

The objective of IMV 2001 is to disseminate relevant achievements and actual results from
European projects and to sti
mulate partnering through presentations, discussions and
interactions. The aim is to create future collaborations, eventually resulting in new projects in
the IST Programme.

Who should attend

researchers and developers from technical universities, instit
utes and colleges;

engineers from system and software houses, integrators, equipment manufacturers;

technical and business managers from industries being (potential) users of IMV
technologies;

technology agents, project managers and other multipliers.
