Thrill seekers Given Online Boost as Free WiFi Rides into THORPE PARK


Theme park rolls out WiFi powered by The Cloud to enhance visitor experience and encourage
THORPE PARK app usage



THORPE PARK, the nation’s Thrill Capital, has today announ
ced it is rolling out free WiFi. The service,
provided by The Cloud, will be available to all Park visitors and accessible from any WiFi enabled
device. The WiFi will enhance the online experience for thrill seekers, whether they are browsing the
internet
or using social networks to check
-
in and post pictures of themselves at the Park.


The service, due to go live the week of May 13 , extends the growing partnership with Merlin
Entertainments Group, already including The EDF Energy London Eye and Alton Tow
ers Resort. It will
enhance the use of the new THORPE PARK app to maximise guests’ enjoyment on their day out by
providing essential information, fun interactive elements and special offers.


The roll out comes as an increasing number of people use mobile

devices to get online, with Ofcom
stating
66% of UK young adults aged 16 to 24 now own a smartphone*. Young, tech
-
savvy
visitors to
theme parks are part of this mobile generation and THORPE PARK is responding.
