for Power Electronics in Europe

Bavarian Cluster on Power Electronics

aims at building a state-wide network
interlinking industrial and scientific potential

The objective of ECPE and the Bavarian Cluster is the
promotion of research, innovation, education, publicity and
technology transfer in the area of power electronics.
The main activities of are:
 Precompetitive research on power electronic systems
 Education: basic, advanced and expert seminars for
engineers working in industry

The focus of the research at the Power Electronic Systems
Laboratory is on ultra-compact and ultra-efficient PWM
converter systems. The considerations are on a system-
oriented and multi-objective basis and are aiming to identify
the technological limits in the performance space. The
proposed concepts are fully verified experimentally and
should allow a translation into innovative industrial products.
