Table 1 General Typographical Conventions
Convention
Use
TIBCO_HOME

ENV_HOME
Many TIBCO products must be installed within the same home directory. This
directory is referenced in documentation as
TIBCO_HOME
. The default value of
TIBCO_HOME
depends on the operating system. For example, on Windows
systems, the default value is
C:\tibco
.
Other TIBCO products are installed into an installation environment. Incompatible
products and multiple instances of the same product are installed into different
installation environments. An environment home directory is referenced in
documentation as
ENV_HOME
. The default value of ENV_HOME depends on the
operating system. For example, on Windows systems the default value is
C:\tibco
.
code font
Code font identifies commands, code examples, filenames, pathnames, and
output displayed in a command window. For example:
Use
MyCommand
to start the foo process.
bold code
font

Bold code font is used in the following ways:
• In procedures, to indicate what a user types. For example: Type
admin
.
• In large code samples, to indicate the parts of the sample that are of
particular interest.
• In command syntax, to indicate the default parameter for a command. For
example, if no parameter is specified,
MyCommand
is enabled:
MyCommand [enable | disable]
italic font
Italic font is used in the following ways:
• To indicate a document title. For example: See TIBCO ActiveMatrix
BusinessWorks Concepts.
• To introduce new terms For example: A portal page may contain several
portlets. Portlets are mini-applications that run in a portal.
• To indicate a variable in a command or code syntax that you must replace.
For example:
MyCommand

6.1.0 AIBM-271 Publication services were not reactivated after the adapter
reconnected to the IBM i server.
6.1.0 AIBM-269 When you install the adapter on 64-bit TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.7.1,
the
Tibcojre64
Java library could not be loaded automatically.
Note: TIBCO Runtime Agent version 5.7.2 or later is required for
adapter version 6.1.0.
6.1.0 AIBM-265 When you set a value for a property in TIBCO Designer using a
predefined global variable, if the name of the global variable
contained the $ character, an error occurred.

6.1.0 AIBM-255 If the definition of the PROCEDURE DIVISION USING COBOL
source code was not all in one line, the
Program requires no
parameters
message appeared in TIBCO Designer when you try to
retrieve the schema using the Request-Response service.
You can retrieve the schema by clicking the Load Parameters button in
the Service Options tab of the Request-Response service.
Note: The message is incorrect. Parameters are required.
6.1.0 AIBM-252 If the field data type was set as
C

Varying
, when the IBM i adapter
parsed the reply message from the IBM i server, a
j
ava.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException
exception was
thrown in the ProgramCall service.
6.1.0 AIBM-250 On AIX platforms, if the version of TIBCO Runtime Agent was 5.7
when you started the adapter, the
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError
error occurs.
6.1.0 AIBM-246 Data was lost if the EMS server was unavailable when the adapter
attempted to publish data from the IBM i data queue.
6.1.0 AIBM-245 When the Is Peek/Read Used checkbox was not checked, if the
connection to an IBM i server broke down while the adapter was
reading a data queue, messages were intermittently lost.
6.1.0 AIBM-243 The value of the
pollingInterval
property in the
adas400.tra
file in
the adapter installation directory overrode the value set in the
deployed TRA file.
Note: The

11
6.1.0 AIBM-236 Running a message monitoring Request-Response Invocation service
for a prolonged amount of time, the adapter began to log an MCH2804
error message repeatedly.
6.1.0 AIBM-235 The value of the
PollingInterval
property set in the
adas400.tra
file took precedence over the value set in the TRA file deployed on
TIBCO Administrator.
6.1.0 AIBM-224 The Is Peek/Read Used? checkbox was checked and exported to a
DAT file, when the DAT file was imported in a new TIBCO Designer
project, the status of the checkbox was marked as unchecked.
6.1.0 AIBM-174 The adapter did not support any library list containing more than 25
libraries.
6.0.0 1-9P3JRN The adapter did not reconnect to the IBM System i server when the
connection was lost due to the restarting of the server.
6.0.0 1-9P3JKJ Adapter services did not stop and ran as daemon threads after a stop
command was issued from the TIBCO Administrator GUI.
6.0.0 1-8NW7BF For data queue write operation, the JTOpen library classes cached
information about IBM i server jobs. When the server jobs on IBM i
server ended, adapter threw an exception due to the cached
information.
6.0.0 1-8KB47B On the Linux platform, the RPC service required some modification in
the
adas400.tra
file to work with Rendezvous-Certified transport.
