CBE
in recognition
of
his
long
-
stan
ding commitment to furthering his

outstanding business relationship with the United
Kingdom
.

Mr Olsson, one of the most respected and highly successful members of the global ferry and
marine industries, received his award from Prince Edward on

board the British warship HMS
Kent which was in Stockholm last weekend for the royal wedding of Crown Princess Victoria of
Sweden.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dan Sten Olsson said: “It is a tremendous honour to receive the CBE
and I would like to say how
delighted I am to accept such a prestigious accolade.

“I know there are a limited number of recipients of this award which makes it all the more
special and, on behalf of my family and business colleagues, I would like to say how grateful we
are for the
support we have received in the United Kingdom


not only in a commercial sense
but also from British society in general.”

Ferry company Stena Line operates across eight routes on the Irish Sea and North Sea, including
Belfast to Stranraer, Larne to Fleetw
ood,
Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead, Dublin to Holyhead,
Rosslare to
Fishguard,
Killingholme to Hoek van Holland, Harwich to Hoek van Holland and
Harwich to Rotterdam.

As well as its passenger and freight ferry interests, parent company Stena AB

owns
a large
number of international companies with business activities all over the world, spread across
several areas including shipping, offshore drilling, property, finance, recycling, environmental
services

and trade.
