The meeting will take place at the marine biology
station of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle
in Concarneau, Brittany, France. The marine
Station of Concarneau is the oldest marine station
in the world (founded in 1859). 2009 will be its
150
th
anniversary.
Concarneau , on the south coast of Finistère,
is an important fishing harbour and a well-known
tourist place with its fortified old city, numerous
surrounding beaches and an abundance of bars,
restaurants and crèperies.
The Concarneau bay and the Glenan archipelago
are a famous area for sailing.
