Purpose and Standards

To help close the achievement gap we will encourage students to better analyze farm records
which will reinforce mathematics standards. California Career Technical Education Model
Curriculum St
andards addressed by this event include:

The team will be composed of four members with the top three scores being the team score.

Each question will be worth 1 point for a total of 50 points.

The test will be based on the Chapters 1 thru 6 of the John Deere: Farm and
Ranch Management Book.

C.

Written Test on Tax Management

1.

Time limit 40 minutes.

2.

The
test will consist of 25
true/false and 25 multiple

choice

questions.

3.

Each question will be worth 1 point for a total of 50 points.

4.

The test will be an open book test based upon the current Farmer’s Tax Guide
Publication 225. Cover page, Introduction and
Chapters
1 through 7

will be
used on the test. These pages will be provided by the host school.

225.
