What is the Law Enforcement
Oath of Honor?

What is the Law Enforcement Oath of Honor?

Police officers take risks and suffer inconveniences to protect the lives, defend civil liberties, secure
the safety of fellow citizens, and they endure such risks
and tolerate such inconveniences on behalf of
strangers. Consequently, police work is one of the more noble and selfless occupations in society.
Making a difference in the quality of life is an opportunity that policing provides, and few other
can offer.

A public affirmation of adhering to an Oath of Honor is a powerful vehicle demonstrating ethical
standards. To be successful at enhancing integrity within an organization, leaders must ensure the
oath is recited frequently and displayed througho
ut the organization as well as ensuring ethical
mentoring and role modeling are consistent, frequent and visible. The following Law Enforcement Oath
of Honor is recommended as by the International Association of Chiefs of Police as symbolic statement
of co
mmitment to ethical behavior:

On my honor,

I will never betray my badge

my integrity, my character,

or the public trust.

I will always have

the courage to hold myself

and others accountable for our actions.

I will always uphold the constitution

my comm

and the agency I serve.

Before any officer takes the Law Enforcement Oath of Honor, it is important that he/she understands
what it means. An oath is a solemn pledge someone makes when he/she sincerely intends to do what
he/she says.

is the jurisdiction and citizens served.

The Oath of Honor's brevity allows it to be constantly referred to and reinforced during conversations
and ceremonies. In addition, it can also be

referred to by administrators while communicating with others;

d on the back of all academy students' name cards, ensuring that they
are looking at it all day;

strategically and visibly placed in all police academies and law enforcement

signed by each academy student, framed and hung on the wall;

given at al
l official police ceremonies and gatherings;

printed on labels that are placed on equipment; and

used as a backdrop in citizens' meetings and news media events.

In conclusion, it is strongly recommended by the IACP that all agencies adopt the Law Enforceme
Oath of Honor. Having officers take an oath will reconfirm the significance of integrity within the
agency and help bring the entire profession together to show that the vast majority of law
enforcement officers not only are good, decent individuals, bu
t also will step forward to stop unethical
acts by any members of our profession.

Oath of Honor

The International Association of Chiefs of Police has developed the following Oath of Honor that is
designed to allow law enforcement officers worldwide to
commit their professional lives to exemplary
public service.

On my honor,

I will never betray my badge,

my integrity, my character,

or the public trust.

I will always have the courage

Every Garner Police Officer takes and adheres to the Law Enforcement Oath of Honor. An oath is a
solemn pledge that each of our sworn personnel makes demonstrating that he or she intends to do
t they say they will do in the performance of their duties. The Oath of Honor is a critical part of who
we are as well as the promise we make to the community we serve.

I have been elected, and which I am about to assume. I do solemnly swear to support

Oath of Office

To the members of law enforcement, nationwide, you lay your lives on the line, honorably. Those of you
who take your oath with great sincerity are above those who do not and care not.

I wish there was a greater felling
of closeness between law enforcement officers and all the people in our
communities. I was a child of the 60’s and I think there is still a lot of tension that feeds the idea of police
against us and that attitude, I feel, causes law enforcement to feel i
t necessary to form a turtle shell of
protection around yourselves, so to speak, and with good reason , I agree.

You see a lot of things on TV these days good and bad. What I am trying to say, with great difficulty, is
that there are some among you who ar
e not worthy to be in your company; yet you feel obligated to
protect all of your brothers even if they are bringing you dishonor. You must as brothers remove those
who bring you dishonor. Your oath requires it. No one should be allowed to bring your
dedication of
service in to question.

Yes, FBI agents take an oath. It is as follows:

I will support and defend the Constitution of the

United States against all enemies, foreign and

domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to

the same; that

I take this obligation freely, without

any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that

I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the

Federal Bureau of

Color of Law Abuses

U.S. law enforcement officers and other officials like judges, prosecutors,
and security guards have been given tremendous power by local, state, and
federal government agencies

authority they must have to enforce the

and ensure justice in our country. These powers include the authority to
detain and arrest suspects, to search and seize property, to bring criminal
charges, to make rulings in court, and to use deadly force in certain

Preventing abuse of
this authority, however, is equally necessary to the
health of our nation’s democracy.

That’s why it’s a federal crime for anyone
acting under “color of law” willfully to deprive or conspire to deprive

a person
of a right protected by the Constitution or U
.S. law. “Color of law” simply means that the person is using authority
given to him or her by a local, state, or federal government agency.

The FBI is the lead federal agency for investigating color of law abuses, which include acts carried out by governm
officials operating both within and beyond the limits of their lawful authority. Off
duty conduct may be covered if the
perpetrator asserted his or her official status in some way.

During 2009, the FBI investigated 385 color of law cases. Most of these

crimes fall into five broad areas:

Excessive force;

Sexual assaults;

False arrest and fabrication of evidence;

Deprivation of property; and

Failure to keep from harm.

Excessive force: In making arrests, maintaining order, and defending life, law enforceme
nt officers are allowed to use
whatever force is "reasonably" necessary. The breadth and scope of the use of force is vast

from just the physical
presence of the officer…to the use of deadly force
Violations of federal law occur when it can be shown that
the force
used was willfully "unreasonable" or "excessive."

Sexual assaults by officials acting under color of law can happen

in jails, during traffic stops, or in other settings
where officials might use their position of authority to coerce an individual

into sexual compliance. The compliance is
generally gained because of a threat of an official action against the person if he or she doesn’t comply.

False arrest and
fabrication of evidence

The Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right against
unreasonable searches or seizures. A law enforcement official using authority provided under the color of law is
allowed to stop individuals and, under certain circumstances, to se
arch them and retain their property
It is in the

abuse of that discretionary power

such as an unlawful detention or illegal confiscation of property

that a violation
of a person's civil rights may occur.

Fabricating evidence against

or falsely arresting a
n individual
also violates the color of law statute, taking away the

person’s rights of due process and unreasonable seizure
. In the case of deprivation of property, the color of law
statute would be violated by unlawfully obtaining or maintaining a person
’s property, which oversteps or misapplies
the official’s authority.

The Fourteenth Amendment secures the right to due process;
the Eighth Amendment prohibits the use of cruel and

unusual punishment

During an arrest or detention, these rights can be viola
ted by the use of force amounting to
punishment (summary judgment). The person accused of a crime must be allowed the opportunity to have a trial and
should not be subjected to punishment without having been afforded the opportunity of the legal process.

ailure to keep from harm

The public counts on its law enforcement officials to protect local communities. If it’s
shown that an official willfully failed to keep an individual from harm, that official could be in violation of the color of
law statute.

Civil Applications

Title 42, U.S.C., Section 14141 makes it unlawful for state or local law enforcement agencies to allow officers to
engage in a pattern
or practice of conduct that deprives persons of rights protected by the Constitution or U.S. laws
This law, commonly referred to as the Police Misconduct Statute, gives the Department of Justice authority to seek
civil remedies in cases where law enforcem
ent agencies have policies or practices that foster a pattern of misconduct
by employees. This action is directed against an agency, not against individual officers. The types of issues which
may initiate a pattern and practice investigation include:

of supervision/monitoring of officers' actions;

Lack of justification or reporting by officers on incidents involving the use of force;

Lack of, or improper training of, officers; and

Citizen complaint processes that treat complainants as adversaries.

Under Title 42, U.S.C., Section 1997, the Department of Justice has the ability to initiate civil actions against mental
hospitals, retardation facilities, jails, prisons, nursing homes, and juvenile detention facilities when there are
allegations of syste
mic derivations of the constitutional rights of institutionalized persons.

The Oath of Hippocrates:

The Oath of Hippocrates (more commonly known as the
Hippocratic Oath) is the oath (or
promise) that all doctors take prior to becoming a doctor.

It consists of promising that one will
only use their power to help those in need and that no matter what, under no circumstances, will
a doctor use his or her po
wer in a malignant way or with the intention of purposing hurting
someone else.

This quote proves ironic to the Nazi doctors who broke it many times with every
euthanasia camp built, or every medicine ever tested on patients, or every experiment carried o
to the patients.

American doctors also broke this sacred promise by carrying out the Tuskegee
Syphilis experiment.

I swear by Apollo Physician, by Asclepius, by Health, by Panacea, and by all the gods
and goddesses, making them my witnesse
s, that I will carry out, according to my ability and
judgment, this oath and this indenture....I will use treatment to help the sick according to my
ability and judgment, but never with a view to injury and wrongdoing. I will keep pure and holy
both my li
fe and my art. In whatsoever houses I enter, I will enter to help the sick, and I will
abstain from all intentional wrongdoing and harm....Now if I carry out this oath, and break it not,
may I gain forever reputation among all men for my life and for my ar
t; but if I transgress it and
forswear myself, may the opposite befall me.

HE was dubbed the Angel of Death

the Nazi doctor who tortured and killed thousands of children in
grisly experiments at Auschwitz.

Evil Josef Mengele spent the rest of

his life on the run after the Second World War but, while holed up in
South America, he kept a chilling secret diary.

Some 3,300 pages of his handwritten notes, poems and drawings were sold to an anonymous Jewish
buyer for £185,000 at auction on Thursday

And the hardbacked journals offer a glimpse into one of the most terrifyingly twisted minds of the 20th

with oil and evipan injections, then removed their limbs and vital
organs. The time from the injection to death was between three and five minutes, with the person being
fully conscious until the l
ast moment.

She made some of the most gruesome and painful medical experiments, focused on deliberately
inflicting wounds on the subjects. In order to simulate the combat wounds of German soldiers fighting in
the war, Herta Oberheuser rubbed foreign objec
ts, such as wood, rusty nails, slivers of glass, dirt or
sawdust into the wounds.

Sterilization experiments

wave radiation to the lower abdomen of women over various length of time was studied. Severe
abdominal pain resulted, and then the abdomen was opened, without anaesthetic, to allow for
dissection. The method did not cause sterilization. Many women di

ray and radium irradiation of the genitals of victims aged in their late teens or early twenties were
performed in Auschwitz (Drs Schumann, Gebhardt). The dose required for immediate sterilization was
assessed by subsequent removal, without anaesthet
ic, of the testicles or ovaries for examination. The
dosage needed was found to be 500 rads for men and 300 for women.

The immediate effects of radiation were local skin burns and radiation sickness. Out of some 300 victims
who survived, a delayed effect w
as reproductive sterility. Skin burns and radiation sickness made 100
prisoners incapable of work. They were put to death by poison gas.

A late effect, discovered 40 years later on, was cancer of the bowel (colon and rectum), published by
Rotmensch and ot
hers in the medical journal

(no. 57, 1986).

victims in whom the diagnoses were made:

uterine injections

Hundreds of female prisoners were injected into their wombs with chemical agents which produced
inflammation and blockage of the ovarian tubes.

With no anaesthetic, the chemicals introduced, causing excruciating pain, were caladium plant extract,
carbolic acid, formalin,
progynon (hormone), iodipirin (by Dr. Clauberg), or carbon dioxide. The
inflammation of uterus, tubes and ovaries was immediate, causing perforation and peritonitis (infection
in the abdominal cavity). Many of the 300 victims died.

Dr. Heinrich Berning

An associate professor at Hamburg University, Berning lead the "famine experiments" on Soviet
prisoners. While the prisoners starved to death, he observed their bodily functions degrade; this
included loss of libido, dizziness, headaches, edema and swelli
ng of the lower abdomen (Annas &
Grodin, 1992). Berning then published his results after the war.

Dr. Philip Bouhler

Bouhler was the head of the early euthanasia program (otherwise known as the

T4 program
) along with

Dr. Viktor Brack

Brack formulated ideas for experiments with Himmler. Brack was very interested in assembly line
sterilizations and castration. He wanted to be in charge of the x
ray experiments

, but
Himmler choose

to be in charge over Brack.

Dr. Karl Bra

Brandt was a personal physician to Hitler and one of the main defendants in the "
Trial of Twenty

Dr. Carl Clauberg

Clauberg conducted sterilization and castration experiments alon
g with

He tried to look for cheap and fast ways of sterilization and found that x
worked quite well. Clauberg tried to artificially inseminate women with numerous things. He injected
caustic substances into womens' cervixes to disturb the fallopian tubes
(Lifton, 1986). One of the
substances he would inject into the women with formalin, novocain, progynon and prolusion to
terminate their pregnancies. Block ten at

Dr. Leonardo Conti

Conti was chief physician of the Third Reich. He was responsible for the killing of a large number of
Germans of "unsound mind"(Snyder, 1976).

Dr. Dering

, Dering removed ovaries after

's x
ray applications by cutting horizontal lines
above the pubic area (instead of cutt
ing by the abdominal opening), which put the patient more at risk
for infection

(Lifton, 1986). After the operation, he sent the ovaries to the labs to ascertain how
effective the x
rays were in destroying the tissue.

Dr. Auther Dietzsch

A doctor at

, Dietzsch suggested that

Dr. Ding (Schuler)

inject typhus patients with
blood; this killed them.

Dr. Ding (Schuler)

He tried to immunize patients that had typhus by giving them fresh blood at

; this resulted
in their deaths. He als
o gave patients typhus in order to perform other ineffective "curative"
experiments on them.

Dr. Arnold Dohmen

Dohmen worked with

Kurt Gutzeit

and began experimenting primarily with animals. He
was convinced by Gutzeit to do human experiments and infected eleven Jewish children with hepatitis
and punctured their livers ( Ann
as & Grodin, 1992). This heinous act had no scientific benefit

who conducted vivisections. He also injected many patie
nts with
apomorphine to observe them vomiting. He performed many unnecessary operations and amputations
and then murdered his patients (Hackett, 1995). Dr. Eisele was said to have killed at least 300 people.

Dr. Ellenback

Ellenback was employed by the Dep
artment for Blood Preservation at the Berlin SS Hospital

. He studied the oxygen levels of blood samples that were taken from patients doing
certain activities and

Dr. Berthhold Epstien

Epstien was a prisoner pediatrician who helped

with his work on the treatment of Noma
(gangrene to the face and mouth).

Noma is most often fatal but Epstien used the results of the
experiments to help some children and adolescents recover.

Dr. Koersten Felix

Felix was a doctor who treated national socialist leaders (Snyder, 1975).

Dr. Finke

Finke was a professor at the U
niversity of Keil and worked closely with

Dr. Sigmund Rascher

in the
Hypothermia experiments at

. He wrote a lengthy research report (along with

Dr. Holzloehner
named "Freezing Experiments with Human Beings." Some of the findings were said t
o be false or made
up, but he delivered his findings from the experiments to other physicians at a Nuremberg medical
conference (Fischer,1995).

Dr. Karl Gebhart

Gebhart inflicted wounds upon his women patients at

and then injected sulfanilamide into
the wounds. This experiment was fatal to all of the women.

Dr. Erwin Gohrbandt

Gohrbandt was a high
ranking top surgeon in Germany. As the Director of Surgery at the U
Clinic of Berlin, he was the chief medical

advisor for aeronautical medicine at the Luftwaffe's Sanitary
Services Division (Annas & Grodin, 1992). He participated in the

Hypothermia Experiments and
then published a report on them in a leading surgical journal.

Johannes Golbel

Golbel was

Dr. Clauberg
's assistant and he help
ed Clauberg improve the X
ray tracing material. He was
allowed to perform many injections, even though he was not a doctor.

Irma Grese

Grese was a concentration camp guard at

. She was also known as the "Blond Angel of Death."

, Grese was placed in charge of 18,000 female prisoners where she "beat prisoners without
mercy and both
watched and helped medical experiments"(Snyder, 1975). Irma Grese was especially
fond of the operations that dealt with the removal of womens' breasts (Snyder, 1975). She had affairs
with quite a few doctors at

, and was condemned to death after the war.

Dr. Kurt Gutzeit

Gutzeit was a gastroenterologist and p
rofessor of medicine at the University of Breslau. Gutzeit was one
of the doctors who headed the hepatitis experiments performed on Jewish children at Auschwitz. When
his assistant,

Dr. Arnold Dohmen
, tried to avoid the horrors of human experimentation by doing animal
experiments, Gutzeit threatened that his too humane assistant needed to be woken up from his
experiment lethargy"(Annas & Grodin, 1992).

Julius Hallervorden

Hallervorden was a neuropathologist at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Brain Research. He ordered
hundreds of brains from the victims of the euthanasia project to be sent to him from the killing hospital,
Gorden (Annas

Grodin, 1992).

Dr. Siegfried Handloser

Handloser was a lieutenant General and the chief doctor at

. He oversaw all medical
"treatments" performed there.

Dr. August

Hirt was a professor at the University of Strasbourg. He collected human heads of "Jewish
commissioners" to do "important" anthropological and anatomical studies (Fischner, 1995). Hirt was
also a practicing surgeon assigned by Himmler to fi
nd an antidote for mustard gas. He prepared cyanide
salts to kill

prisoners and was an assistant on the Strasbourg project. He experimented on
people and dogs as well
as on himself.

Dr. Holzloehner

Holzloehner worked with

Dr. Finke

and with

Dr. Rascher

on the

hypothermia experiments.
Holzloehner was a professor at the University of Keil and wrote (along with Finke) a research report
called "Freezing Experiment
s with Human Beings". He then delivered his findings to other doctors at a
Nuremberg medical conference.

Dr. Waldemar Hoven

Hoven was a physician at Buchenwald who gave his patients lethal injections to kill them.

Frau Ilse Koch

Kockwas also known as the

"Bitch of

." She was the wife of a camp commander and her
hobby was to collect the skins of inmates, both dead and alive, if they had a tattoo she liked. Koch

the skin into book covers, gloves, lampshades and other sorts of furniture (Fischer, 1995).

Dr. Hans Wilhelm Koning

Koning arranged for male schizoid inmates and healthy female inmates to have electroshock therapy,

Dr. Joseph Mengele

Mengele was the most visible camp doctor at

and was known as the "Angel of Death". He
developed a theory that humans, like dogs, had pedigrees (Snyder, 1976). He performed vivisections,
injected chemicals into living peoples' eyes to try to change them, and perpetrated many horrific twin

the war and was never captured.

Dr. Theodor Morell

Morell was Hitler's personal physician and injection specialist.

Dr. Joachim Mrugowsky

Mrugowsky was the c
hief doctor at the Hygienic Institute of Waffen SS in Berlin. Mrugowsky was a key
figure in the planning and carrying out of destructive medical experiments in many concentration camps
(Lifton, 1986). Some of the experiments he

performed include the flaw

Dr. Sigmund Rascher

was a Luftwaffe captain as well as a doctor. He was in charge of many of the "military medical
experiments" at

including the hypothermia experiments (where 300 people were
killed) and the
high altitude experiments. He examined the brains of Jews after their skulls were split open (while fully
conscious) to see the effects of high altitude on humans (Hackett, 1995).

Dr. Ferdinand Sauerbach

compared the effects of the diseases on different blood groups.

Dr. Horst Schumann

Schumann conducted sterilization and castration experiments at

. Schumann also performed
typhus experiments by injecting people with blood from typhus patients and then attempting to cure
the newly infected subjects. He worked at Block 30 in the womens'
hospital, Birkenau, and invented a
machine that gave sterilization and castration treatment to both men and women. Schumann also had a

drives and preferences (Hackett, 1995).

Vaernet castrated fifteen men who all died as a result.

Dr. Helmuth Vetter

Vetter did pharmacological trials in

. He conducted medical experiments for
Bayer using ruthenohal and 3582 to treat serious medical

ons. Most of the time the patients died

Dr. Hermann Voss

Voss was a professor of anatomy at Posen University in Poland. He conducted experiments by collecting
materials straight from the guillotine of the Posen Gestapo (Annas & Grodin, 1992). He
also did
experiments on the blood in the spleen and from these he wrote a text book called the "Voss
Book" from which almost every medical student in Germany learned (Annas & Grodin, 1992).

Dr. Wagner

Wagner was a Doctor at

and did a dissertation on tattooing. Wagner selected people with
tattoos to die and made furniture out of human skin and bones (Hackett, 1995).

Dr. Bruno Weber

Weber was the chief of t

Anatomy & Physiology

The internal structure of the penis consists of two cylinder
vascular tissue bodies (corpora cavernosa) that run throughout the
penis; the urethra (tube for expelling urine and ejaculate); erectile tissu
surrounding the urethra; two main arteries; and several veins and
nerves. The longest part of the penis is the shaft, at the end of which is
the head, or glans penis.

Penis anatomy is remarkably complex: Following is the definitions for
the most importa
nt parts.

The Corpora Cavernosa

corpora cavernosa

are two chambers that fill most of the penis. The chambers are filled with a spongy tissue that
includes muscles, open spaces, veins and arteries. An erection occurs when the corpora cavernosa become
engorged with blood and expand.

The Tunica Albuginea

A membrane called the
tunica albuginea

surrounds the corpora cavenosa. This membrane helps keep blood

in the
penis during an erection.

is the tube through which urine travels. Eja
culate also travels through the urethra. It runs down the
underside of the penis, beneath the corpora cavernosa and widens at its opening, called the
. The meatus is
located at the glans (the head of the penis).

Corpus Spongiosum

is a chamber that surrounds the urethra. It becomes engorged with blood during an erection.

The Prostate

is a small gland located in the pelvis. It surrounds the urethra and plays an important role in ejaculation.
Sperm, which is pr
oduced in the testicles and stored in the seminal vesicles, is mixed with
prostatic fluid
secretions from the bulbourethral gland to form semen. During ejaculation, semen is expelled through the urethra
from the ejaculatory ducts.

About an inch an
d a half above and an inch and a half below the pubic bone on
the left side of my penis along the corpora

is the area that has been
damaged. This was damaged after he said to me “

going to piss sideways”.
At the base of my penis above the

pubic bone there is also an area that he said he
was going to damage. He said

am going to take away your thickness “. At that
area there is a distinguishable
reduction in girth, a

of the corpora

He has also said “
I am going to take away your whole
undercarriage”. He continues to burn me in my genital area. He has recently said
to, “I am going to take away your breathe". I have in recent weeks developed a
persistent cough.

The Respiratory System

The respiratory s
ystem is made up of organs and tissues that help you breathe. The main parts of this system are the
airways, the lungs and linked blood vessels, and the muscles that enable breathing.
The Respiratory

Figure A shows the location of the respiratory structures in the body. Figure B is an enlarged
view of the airways, alveoli (air sacs), and capillaries (tiny blood vessels). Figure C is a
closeup view of gas exchange between the capillaries and alveoli. CO

is carbon dioxide, and

is oxygen.

The airways are pipes that carry oxygen
rich air to your lungs. They also carry carbon dioxide, a waste gas, out of
your lungs. The airways include your:

Nose and linked air passages (called nasal cavities)

Larynx (LAR
ingks), or voice box

Trachea (TRA
ah), or windpipe

Tubes called bronchial tubes or bronchi, and their branches

Air first enters your body through your nose or mouth, which wets and warms the air. (Cold, dry air can irritate your
) The air then travels through your voice box and down your windpipe. The windpipe splits into two bronchial
tubes that enter your lungs.

A thin flap of tissue called the epiglottis (ep
is) covers your windpipe when you swallow. This prevents food
and drink from entering the air passages that lead to your lungs.

Except for the mouth and some parts of the nose, all of the airways have special hairs called cilia (SIL
ah) that are
coated with sticky mucus. The cilia trap germs and other foreign parti
cles that enter your airways when you breathe in

These fine hairs then sweep the particles up to the nose or mouth. From there, they're swallowed, coughed, or
sneezed out of the body. Nose hairs and mouth saliva also trap particles and germs.

Lungs an
d Blood Vessels

Your lungs and linked blood vessels deliver oxygen to your body and remove carbon dioxide from your body. Your
lungs lie on either side of your breastbone and fill the inside of your chest cavity. Your left lung is slightly smaller than

r right lung to allow room for your heart.

Within the lungs, your bronchi branch into thousands of smaller, thinner tubes called bronchioles. These tubes end in
bunches of tiny round air sacs called alveoli (al

Each of these air sacs is cover
ed in a mesh of tiny blood vessels called capillaries. The capillaries connect to a
network of arteries and veins that move blood through your body.

The pulmonary (PULL
ary) artery and its branches deliver blood rich in carbon dioxide (and lacking in o
xygen) to
the capillaries that surround the air sacs. Inside the air sacs, carbon dioxide moves from the blood into the air. At the
same time, oxygen moves from the air into the blood in the capillaries.

The oxygen
rich blood then travels to the heart thro
ugh the pulmonary vein and its branches. The heart pumps the
rich blood out to the body. (For more information about blood flow, go to the Health Topics
How the Heart

The lungs are divided into five main sections called lobes. Some people need to have a diseased lung lobe removed.
However, they can still breathe well using the rest of their lung lobes.

December 1936, the

Das schwarze Korps

accused Schmitt of being an
opportunist, a Hegelian state thinker and basically a Catholic, and called his anti

he criticized the Nazis' racial theories. After
this, Schmitt resigned from his position as "Reichsfachgruppenleiter" (
Reich Professional Group

In 1945, Schmitt was captured by the American forces and released in
1946. Schmitt refused every attempt at de

Jesus was not a Jew and of Aryan origin, and that Adolf Hitler was the new messiah.

Ludwig Müller

1945), was a theologian and church leader who played a major role in the
Nazi party's attemp

was their economic theoretician. It was his lecture in 1919 that drew Hitler into the party.

Gregor Strasser

1934) Involved in the
Kapp Putsch

he formed his own völkischer
Wehrverband ("popular defense union") which he merged into the NSDAP in 1921. Initially a

loyal supporter of Adolf Hitler, he took part in the
Beer Hall Putsch

and held a number of high
positions in the Nazi Party. Soon however, Strasser became a strong advocat
e of the socialist
wing of the party, arguing that the national revolution should also include strong action to tackle
poverty and should seek to build working class support.

Julius Streicher

1946), the founder and publisher of
Der Stürmer

newspaper, which
became a central element of the Nazi propaganda machine. His portrayal of Jews as sub
and evil played a critical role in the dehumanization and marginalization of the Jewish minority
in the eyes of common Germans

creating the necessary conditions for the later perpetration
of the Holocaust. He was a member of the Nazi party.

Intellectuals indirectly associated with Nazism

Some writers came before the Nazi era and their writings were (sometimes falsely) incorporated into Nazi ideology:

ame Blavatsky

1891), founder of

and the
Theosophical Society
Guido von

took up some of Blavatsky's racial theories, and mixed them with nationalism to create
, a precursor of
Nazi ideology
. Ariosophy emphasized intellectual expositions of racial
evolution. The
Thule Society

was one of several German occult groups drawing on Ariosophy to
preach Aryan supremacy. It provides a direct link between occult racial theories and the racial
ideology of Hitler and the emerging Nazi party.

Emile Burnouf

1907) was a racialist whose ideas influenced the development of
theosophy and

ouston Stewart Chamberlain

1927) was a British
born author of books on political
philosophy, and natural science. His two
volume book
Die Grundlagen des Neunzehnten

(Foundations of the 19th. Century) (1899) became a manual for Nazi racia
philosophy including the concept of the
master race

Bernhard Förster

1889), German

teacher who wrote on the
Jewish question
where he characterizes Jews as constituting a "parasite on the German body".

Arthur de Gobineau

1882) was a French aristocrat, novelist and man of letters who
developed the racialist theory of the Aryan

He argued that the Jews were "devil's children".

He wrote that the synagogue was a

and Jews were full of the "devil's

He advocated setting synagogues on fire, destroying

into labor or expelled "for all time."

He also seemed to sanction their murder,

in 1933

Some scholars see Luther's influence as

limited, and
the Nazis' use of his work as opportunistic. Johannes Wallmann argues that Luther's writings
against the Jews were largely ignored in the 18th and 19th centuries, and that there is no
continuity between Luther's thought and Nazi ideology.

Oswald Arnold Gottfried Spengler

1936), German

historian and philosopher. He is best
known for his book
The Decline of the West

and the cyclical theory of the rise and decline of
civilizations. He wrote e
xtensively throughout World War I and the interwar period, and
supported German hegemony in Europe. The National Socialists held Spengler as an intellectual
precursor but he was ostracized after 1933 for his pessimism about Germany and Europe's
future, and

his refusal to support Nazi ideas of racial superiority.

Adolf Stoecker

1909), court chaplain to Kaiser Wilhelm and an

theologian who founded one of the first

political parties in Germany, the
Social Party
. He proposed severely limiting the civil rights of Jews in Germany. In September
1879 he delivered a speech entitled "What we demand of modern Jewry", in which he spelled
out several demands

of German Jews.

Friedrich Nietzsche

1900), German philosopher who de

The Nazi regime's ideas of the German superman were s

However, it seems that Hitler probably never read Nietzsche, or if he
did, the reading was not extensive.

(14) European Convention on Human Rights

The European Convention is still the only international human rights agreement providing

such a high degree of individual protection. State
parties can also take cases against other state parties to the Court, although this power is rarely used. There are comparabl
e protections
issued in the Bill of Rights under the United States Constitution

as well as the English Bill of Rights. I used the European Convention on
Human Rights as it is an International Agreement.

Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights

Article 8 provides a right to respect for one's "
private and family life, his home and his
", subject to
certain restrictions that are "in accordance with law" and "necessary in a democrati
c society". This article clearly
provides a right to be free of unlawful searches, but the Court has given the protection for "private and family life" that
this article provides a broad interpretation, taking for instance that prohibition of private conse
nsual homosexual acts
violates this article.

Article 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights

Article 9 provides a right to
freedom of thought
, conscience and
. Th
is includes the freedom to change a
religion or belief, and to manifest a religion or belief in worship, teaching, practice and observance, subject to certain
restrictions that are "in accordance with law" and "necessary in a democratic society"

1. Article

10 provides the right to
freedom of expression
, subject to certain restrictions that are "in accordance with law" and "necessary in a
democratic society". This r
ight includes the freedom to hold opinions, and to receive and impart information and ideas.

Article 13

effective remedy

3. Article 13 provides for the right for an effective remedy before national authorities for violations of rights under the
Convention. The inability
to obtain a remedy before a national court for an infringement of a Convention right is thus a free
standing and separately actionable
infringement of the Convention.

Nkli’s Plea To Save Her Life And The Lives Of Her

Nkli (not verified)

For those of you who are unaware, my family and I have been victims of electronic torture for
over nine years. I am currently a grad student and I have to deal with constant surveillance,
physical harassment by electronic means, and invasion of privacy on
every possible level. The
perpetrators along with local law enforcement follow me where ever I go; they constantly use
their directed energy weapons on me and have almost destroyed my life. This all started after
Bush was sworn in,

my family and I

lived in

an apartment, we noticed that our neighbors were
behaving differently, they acted as if we had wronged them in some way, after this,

living in the apartment above us began to use some sort of weapon on us. My mother was the
first one

did it on, she

tried to tell the police, but they had her committed and told her she
would have to take medication. My little sister was taken into protective custody, she was only
11 at the time, they started using these weapons on her as well. My mothe
r fled to Tennesee
where they are currently harassing her with these weapons, she is experiencing dizziness, noises
coming from apartments that are supposed to be vacant, she is also having gynecological
problems(Such as heavy bleeding, intense pain and di

these symptoms

correspond with
the electric shocks that she endures on a regular basis. I live alone and am struggling to find a job
and finish school, it is very difficult to do when you have to go through this. This all has been
very hard on me

emotionally. I have very few personal relationships and every day I feel as
though I am getting closer and closer to death. These perps have made it almost impossible for
me to live at all. They have detroyed my family, I can't even study in my own home,
anytime I
try, they begin to use these weapons on me, they do it on me even when I leave the house, they
have found a way to make these weapons portable. I have endured this for years, I watch other
people my age, other students...they are enjoying their l
ives and I'm a prisoner. My mother might
die soon, I might die and no ones coming to rescue me. I've done nothing to deserve this. I try to
live my life in a way that benefits others, I've never broken the law and I have a good heart, yet I
am being treate
d as though I am a terrorist, a criminal. When will it stop? When will I be free?
They have taken everything from me. I am a smart woman, creative, educated and yet

it doesn't
matter because no matter what I do or where I go, these perps will always be th
ere waiting to
destroy me. I have absolutely NO support. If there is

anyone out there, anyone who has learned
how to cope with this, please HELP me. My mother calls me every night and tells me that they're
killing her and there's nothing I can do about it,

there's no way of protecting myself or the people
that I love. I had dreams once, I wanted to be a teacher, I wanted to get married, I wanted to be a
part of the world...I don't even feel like an American anymore, I feel like foreigner. I lay in bed at
ght and I wonder what my life would be like if this wasn't happening to me, I wonder how
happy I might be if I had rights like everyone else. When Obama won, I was so overjoyed, for
once I felt like I could really be proud of this country. He kept talking
and about
how he was going to stand up for the hopeless. The day Obama was inaugurated, I didn't feel
anything, the perps stopped completely, but the very next day they started doing it on me again,
this time harder than before. When will chan
ge come for me? My family is ...dying. I still can't
believe that this is happening in America. I want to believe that one day the government will stop
this from going on, but it's hard. There is no way that the government is unaware of this issue,
the law

enforcement in my town, doctors, teachers, even security guards are all apart of this
program. Collectively, they have managed to poison the minds of any person who sympathizes
with my plight. Last night the perps used some kind of D.E.W on me that caused

the right side of
my brain to become numb, they also continously use some sort of invisible beam to pierce
various parts of my body

when I am not at home. Somebody, somewhere... PLEASE tell me that
I'm not alone, tell me that this will end. I'm only in m
y twenties...I don't wanna die.
