*Class Fees and Instructor Fees are per semester unless otherwise indicated in the Other Information. Class fees are non-refundable.
In the weeks prior to participating in competitions, the students may need to attend additional meetings at a to-be-announced location in order to
prepare the robot and the team as a whole. Travel arrangements such as carpooling to additional meetings and to the competition itself will be
discussed prior to the meetings and event. Local (in-state) competitions will take place approximately November 2013 through February 2014. If
the team qualifies for state championships (which will take place in Michigan), that competition will take place approximately in February 2014.
In the time between competitions and after we are finished competing for the season, we will continue to build academic and social skills by
participating in robotics challenges designed by the teacher.
* Credit Hours: COVE does not issue high school credits. These are suggested credit hours to be assigned by the parents.
Suggested grade is given by teachers. Final grade assignment is the responsibility of the parent.

Materials fee includes the cost of registering the team for a competition and a team t-shirt.
All other materials necessary for building and programming the robot will be covered by the instructor.

are possible in your future and the VEX IQ Challenge is a fun and exciting way to learn the skills you need to get there!
In this class, students, with guidance from their teacher, build a robot using the VEX IQ robotics platform to solve an engineering challenge that
is presented in the form of a game. VEX IQ Challenge teams will work together scoring points in Teamwork Matches, and also get to show off
their robots skills individually in driver controlled and autonomous Skills Challenges. (From the VEX IQ Challenge website -
