In the paper,the BioSys project aimed at the development of algorithms and
intelligent software for investigation of regulatory processes and control systems
on the genome level is described ,,.
Novel methods and eﬀective algorithms for analysis of DNA sequences on the
basis of visualization and comparing with known codes are presented.An inte-
grated computational method for analysis and interpretation of gene expression is
described.A method for comparison of algorithms for recognition of CIS-elements
is presented.A subsystem for development and testing of applications in the ﬁeld
of the DNA regulation sequences analysis is described.
An environment for development of neural networks is presented.This subsys-
tem is based on a component based paradigm and supports the most commonly
used network architectures and a comprehensive set of training and learning func-
tions.It provides a complete set of functions and a graphical user interface for the
design,implementation,visualization,and simulation of neural networks,and it
has advanced preprocessing,analysis and visualization capabilities.
