Where did it all begin (1900 to 1973)
Wireless Telephone technology has been around since
the early 1900’s
,
the first patent for issued in 1908 to Nathan
B. Stubblefield (USA)
In 1910 Lars Magnus Ericsson (founder of Ericsson) put a
telephone in his car and would stop where telephone lines were
accessible and then connect using long electric wires to the
national telephone network
In the 40’s Motorola developed a back pack
two way
radio, and then developed a hand held version about the size of
your forearm that was
used by the American military
The origin of the modern cell phone can be traced back
to the year 1973
when Motorola invented the first cellular
portable telephone, known as Motorola
DynaTAC
8000X.
