IMPRINTS is a three year
multidisciplinary
project being conducted between four UK
universities (Northumbria,
Loughborough, Dundee and Essex)

which aims to understand
how the
UK
public
will

engage and/or disengage with identity management practices,
se
rvices and technologies of the future.

These
services and technologies may involve

fo
rms of
biometric authentication,

innovative

‘smart’

tokens

like ID or customer cards,
smart jewellery

or enhanced smart phones.

In this research we aim at a bet
ter understanding of these
future technologies

in order to
facilitate public debate, policy and user
-
centric applications
.

We are looking to recruit people to take part in focus groups which will be
devoted to the
exploration of issues such as these futuri
stic technologies, how they might impact on the
way we identify ourselves, and how (un)acceptable they are to people.

For furthe
r information about the project
, or if you are interested in
taking part in one of our focus groups,
