To Connect to the Imaging System

Windows NT





Turn on the scanner first and then turn on the PC.


You will see a message to select the Op
erating System to start…
you do not need to do anything.

In a few
seconds you will see a blue screen with MS Windows NT on top.
You do not need to do
anything
…Windows/NT is loading.


You will need to log to the following:


1.

To your PC.

2.

To your Network (
For example IR01). This will not apply to all scanning workstations.

3.

To the AS/400 (Image System)



1.

LOGON TO YOUR PC

-

Press
CTRL ATL DEL.

Type in your
Password

and
Press Enter
.


You will see the Windows NT logo and in a few seconds the Signon screen t
o the AS/400 (Image Server).



2.

LOGON TO THE NETWORK

-

Type in your
UserId

and
Password

and

Press Enter
.
(You will only see this logon if you are connected to a Network.)



You will see a window that says “restoring the connection to
\
\
S10B1715
\
QDLS” and i
n a few seconds your
desktop will appear.


3.

LOGON TO THE AS/400

(Image System)
. Type in

your
UserId

and
Password

and

Press Enter .



4.

Double Click

on the
Start Image

Icon.


A countdown will begin. In a few seconds you will see the Image System signon scree
n (Session A).
(Once you see the signon screen you may stop the countdown by clicking on the area where the
numbers appear.)


After the countdown completes you will see the EHLLAPI window. Make sure you see the message
“connected session: A” and then

inimize

the EHLLAPI window.










Type in

your
UserId

and
Password

and
Press Enter
.










To Close the Imaging System

Windows NT





Sign

off
the Imaging System
.




(Option 90 Main Menu)




Close
Session A

and close
EHLLAPI
.









Important things to know






Reset Key

=
Left Ctrl Key

For example, if you type outside the allowed typing area you will need to reset.)





To go back to the previous screen

To go back to the main menu

(multiple times)

(if available)




To change your password

= Option
