Joomla

Drupal

Installation

Easy and very similar to other
CMS
’s, such as WordPress.

First time
around
,

there was
something wrong (never found
out what), but after scrapping it
and restarting it over, it was
okay and seemed pretty similar
to WordPress & Joomla

However,

had to
database
before reinstalling, because
Drupal doesn
’t have th
e
capability to override.

Articles

Easy to add and locate.

Easy to add and locate.

Captcha

Easy

just
having to enable.

Had to find an extension, once
that was found

it
was a matter
of enabling other extensions or
libraries that it us
ed.

Community Builder

Easy to find, but took quite a
few steps to finally
get

it up and
running on the page.

Was not able to find something
comparable

in
Drupal.

Photo Gallery

Used Phoca_Gallery, pretty self
-
explanatory and
easy to use.
Not very aesthetic on the page,
though.

Used Node_Gallery, took quite
awhile for me to
find something
reasonably close to what
Joomla
had for extensions.

GoogleMaps

Easy to find

for
me it took a
little work to add it into the
page, but worked fine.

Easy to find

not
very easy to
add onto the page.

Installation was
fine, but I felt
a lot of
knowledge and know
-
how was
needed to use it

(even to set it
up)
. (Which is definitely worth
it, if you
’re looking
for income!)

I wasn
’t able to find one
comparable to
what Joomla
offered, either.
