Thank you for purchasing your Joomla51 template. The following

tutorial will guide you in installing and setting up your template.
Before Installing your Joomla51 Template
Before installing your Joomla51 template you will to install the latest version of the

Joomla 1.6 content management system. Joomla 1.6 is available with most auto-
installers such as Fantastico & Softaculous as well as directly from the

web site.
Installing your Joomla51 Template
1.
Log in to your Joomla 1.6 administration area (www.yoursite.com/administrator)
2.
Navigate to
Extensions
-> Extensions Manager
3.
Select the browse button and choose the
j51_[TemplateName.zip]
found in the

Joomla 1.6 directory of your template package.
4.
Click
Upload file & install
to install the template to your Joomla installation.
5.
To set the template as the default, navigate to your
Template Manager

(Extensions -> Template Manager).
6.
Now select your Joomla51 template and click
Make
Default

7.
Your Joomla51 template will now be set as the default template
Adding your Site Title & Slogan (Text)
1.
Navigate to
Extensions
->
Template Manager
2.
Select your Joomla51 template and click Edit
3.
Under
Advanced Options
select
Text
from the
Logo Type
dropdown menu
4.
Add your site title to the
Logo Text
field
5.
If desired add your slogan to the
Slogan
field
6.
Click save to apply your changes
Adding your Site Title/Logo (Image)
1.
To create your logo image I would suggest using the blank logo.png

supplied with the template. This will your logo will have the correct file type

and dimensions for the logo position
2.
Navigate to
Extensions
->
Template Manager
3.
Select your Joomla51 template and click Edit
4.
Under
Advanced Options
select
Image
from the
Logo Type
dropdown

menu and click Save.
5.
Open your FTP client and upload your customized logo.png to

../templates/j51_[template]/images/logo.png
replacing the original.
Setting Up Your Image Slideshow
1.
Navigate to
Extensions -> Extensions Manager
2.
Click Browse and select the
mod_slideshow16.
zip from the Joomla 1.6

folder of your template package
3.
Once installed navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager
4.
Click New and select ImageSlideShow
5.
Set up you slideshow module as follows
Show Title
- No
Enabled
- Yes
Module Position
– Showcase
Image Directory
- images/sampledata/parks/animals *
Height in pixels
- 250 (change to taste)
Width in pixels
– 902
Transition Delay
- 50 (change to taste)
Next Image Delay
- 4000 (change to taste)
* Your slideshow will read the images from a folder of your choice. Using Joomlas

Images folder you can navigate to
Content -> Media Manager
to upload your images
Setting Up Your LOF ArticleSlideshow
1.
Navigate to
Extensions -> Extensions Manager
2.
Click Browse and select the
mod_lofarticlesslideshow16.zip
from the Joomla

1.6 folder of your template package
3.
Once installed navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager
4.
Click New and select
Lof ArticlesSlideShow Module
5.
For the most part the slideshow is preconfigured for your template except for

the following few settings.
Show Title (Details)
- Hide
Position

(Details)
– Showcase
Main Image Width (Main Slider Setting)
- 902
* The LOF ArticleSlideshow will slide through images from each of your articles. If there

is no image within an article then that slide will appear blank.
Applying Your Slideshow Modules To A Single Page
1.
Navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager
2.
Select your Slideshow module (ImageSlideShow) and click Edit
3.
Under Menu Assignment click
Only on the pages selected
Setting Up Your Horizontal Dropdown Menu
The Moomenu gives your dropdown menus a smooth and fluid animated effect.
1.
Navigate to
Extensions -> Module Manager
and select your menu module.
2.
Set up your module as below
Setting Up Your Search Form Module
1.
Navigate to
Extensions -> Module Manager
2.
Select you Search module and click
Edit

Set up your module as below

Navigate to
Extensions -> Module Manager

Changing Your Template Colour Style
1.
Navigate to
Extensions -> Template Manager
2.
Select your Joomla51 template and click
Edit
3.
Select the style of your choice from the
Template Style
dropdown
4.
Click Save
Changing the Footer/Copyright Information
1.
Navigate to
Extensions -> Template Manager
2.
Select your Joomla51 template and click
Edit
3.
Edit/Remove the contents of the
Footer
field
4.
Click Save
