Library Research Project
The topic my group has chosen is Improving the Bowie Card through more features and
consolidation. I am interested in this topic because I’d like to use my BowieCard on the
Metro one day.
I think that
Students, Staff, and Prospective Students would benefit from our proposal

information to make an informed decision
towards any future changes.
The purpose of our document is to inform readers about possible changes, how
to add them, and which features are more possible. It also aims to describe
consolidation of School
and account cards.
I would like readers to learn about different options to improve the BowieCard
and possible new features to add to the BowieCar

My topic is “Making the BowieCard more Efficient through Consolidation and more
Features.” A book I wi
ll be using for research during this project is Dominique Paret’s
Radio Frequency Identification and Contactless Smart Card Applications. This book goes
over the advanced technology behind RFID smart cards, implementation, and possible
uses. This work is c
ritical to the explanation of the technology behind the new
BowieCard we are proposing, as it explains in depth possible costs, feasibility, what
could interfere with the new system, ideal environments, and a rich explanation of how
the technology works. I
believe that it is a must have in the research being performed
for the draft proposal.
