BACKGROUND






Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia
was established in 1996 as a centre of excellence for
research. The main functions of IBS are as follows;




A

centre of excellence for integrated and
multidisciplinary research.


A high end facility centre.


A centre for expert scientific consultation.


A centre for human resource development in science
and technology.
