The error can be produced
following the steps described below:



1.

Create a new database using the template known as

template_postgis

;



2.

Create a new Drawing with a single polygon in Manifold and export it to PostgreSQL.








Error messages shown in the console of PostgreSQL indicating that the tables MFD_META, SDE_layers and
GDB_GeomColumns are missing. I

m working with PostgreSQL, what does Manifold require the presence of
ArcSDE tables



SDE_layers


and

GDB_GeomCol
umns

?


3.

Link the Drawing in PostgreSQL back to Manifold using the Database Console.





4.

Modify

the Drawing slightly, s
ave the project

and the system hangs!!!






The system hangs when an attempt is made to save the project.

If the drawing window is c
losed before the project is
saved, the error message

GDB_GeomColumns does not exist


appears

and the Drawing
becomes invalid it is re
-
link.



The system keeps producing errors about the absence of MFD_META, SDE_layers and GDB_GeomColumns.

with 4GB of RAM, a dual core 2.66 GHz CPU, an NVIDIA Quadro FX3450/4000 SDI graphics card. The OS is
Windows XP SP2.
