Murder: Chapel Allerton

In 1991, the badly decomposed and partially mummified skeleton of a young
person was found wrapped in a carpet and dumped on a construction site at
Chapel Allerton, Leeds.

It was estimated that the remains had probably been located elsewhere for
around one year.

The body was clothed in a striped sweater and wore plastic earrings and a
wristwatch.

Some medium
-
length brown hair also remained.

Examinations by a forensic anthropologist determined that the body was that
of a young Caucasian female between the ages of 18
-
25.

The skull did possess a very square jaw, with a prominent underbite.
