First of all if the museum wants to have a faster connection speed they need to get rid of
the dial
-
up service and
upgrade to broadband. Then they should upgrade their T3 line to at least a
T5 line because it offers better throughput. They should
probably get rid of the 38 or so static IP
address and only lease a 15 or less IP’s at a time which would improve system performance.
They also need to come up with a subnetting scheme of some sort which would cut down on the
need for so many IP addresses
to be leased out at one time and having 38 different static IP
addresses would take up so much of the routers resources which would slow down the whole
performance of the system and probably cause the router to crash. I would also add a couple of
more rout
ers so the one they have does not get overloaded trying to send all the information from
38 different work stations.
