D

Some basic options for doing this are as follows:

IP on Port 80

o

Requires additional unique IP on server

DNS on Port 80

o

Requires DNS infrastructure for name resolution

Note:

For direct SSL encryption allocating a unique IP address on the Server is
recommended whether using DNS or not.

1.

Create a folder on the
Server

called 1099ProNet.

This will house the files for
ASP.NET

2.

Create a new website using IIS Manager that maps to th
e 1099ProNet folder,
Allow anonymous access and give Read and Run scripts permissions

to the
website.

Use a name such as 1099 Pro .NET to easily distinguish this site. Put in a
DNS name if you wish to use DNS to access the website. You must register this
n
ame with your DNS servers for it to work.
If you wish to access the site from the
server without first registering it in DNS you can use your Hosts file to add the
reference.

Note: If using a unique IP address you should add the IP address to the server
b
efore creating the website.

3.

In the new websites properties, go to the ASP .NET tab, under ASP .NET version

data source
)

database (
initial catalog
)

login (
