week, r
eaders in Mrs. Smith’s and Mrs.
Woods’
class worked with their literature circle
novels. Next week, both classes will start their
next story Marvin in the Woods, learning new
vocabulary as well as their new skill. Readers in
Ms. White’s class prepar
ed and tested on What
Jo Did. Next week, students will start on their
new story Grace and the Time Machine, learning
new vocabulary and their new skill.

Math

Mathematicians in Ms. White’s class have been
working with multistep multiplication problems &
multiplying two digit numbers with regrouping.
The first week back, students reviewed multistep
multiplication problems and began working with
multiplying two d
igit numbers with regrouping.
Next week, students’ will be doing algebraic
multiplication problems as well as introducing two
digits by two
-
digit multiplication.
In Ms. Woods’
math class students worked with multistep
multiplication problems.
Next week stu
dents will
continue with multiplying two digits by two digits.
Ms. Smith’s class

worked with multistep word
problems and will continue next week reviewing
and introducing multiplying two digits by one digit.

Scientists have been amped and ready to
learn our new unit
on plant needs and life
cycles. Students began learning new

This week students began with a Kentucky
Geoquest video on the early Natives of our area.
Our young historians will continue next week
identifying tribes living on this land and will
discuss the characteristics of each tribe.
Students will also

become familiar with early
explorers such as Daniel Boone!
